The quiet side of Acadia

4 of 5
We enjoyed our stay very much. You feel like you're in the woods but close to everything. The only reason we gave it 4 rather than 5 star rating is it would have been nice to have had at least a 1/2 bath on the same level as one of the bedrooms. The cottage felt new, very clean. We cook most our meals and found the kitchen a joy to work in, minimally stocked - but I came prepared . Though did enjoy lobster at Thurstens!! It was wonderful place to go after a day hiking up Cadalic Mountain or kayaking the Atlantic. We appreciated being away from the hubbub of Bar Harber - but close enough to do everything we wanted w a short drive. We would definitely recommend to friends and return if have an opportunity.

Overall pleasant

5 of 5
We went with a group of friends to David's property during the labor day weekend and he was able to accommodate to our short stay. Not only did we received constant email reminders for some of the nearby sightseeing places, but also other tips in terms of getting to the place. The cottage itself is nice and clean, there is a front balcony which faces the Atlantic ocean and has an awesome view. We were able to make BBQ and enjoyed the wonderful view. The house is also pretty convenient to Acadia National Park and is also couple blocks away from many other liquor store/coffee shops/restaurants, so we found that really convenient. The house is also fully equipped with kitchen wares and furniture, so you would feel like home when you stayed here. I would definitely recommend coming to this place considering it's reasonable rate and the overall experience we got!! Thanks David!

Incredible getaway - beautiful ocean view/deck

5 of 5
I only have good things to say about this property. BEAUTIFUL location and quaint, cozy interior. Comfy beds and incredible, large deck to eat and relax on. Can see the ocean from the deck. Spent lots of time on the beach looking for sea glass and went hiking in Acadia (less than 15 min to many trails including Acadia Mountain <moderate to strenuous at times> which I recommend - phenomenal view). The cottage is around the corner from downtown Southwest Harbor which is fun for an afternoon of coffee and shopping. 20 min from Bar Harbor. Perfect getaway - I can't wait to go back next summer with friends!
