Overall pleasant

5 of 5
We went with a group of friends to David's property during the labor day weekend and he was able to accommodate to our short stay. Not only did we received constant email reminders for some of the nearby sightseeing places, but also other tips in terms of getting to the place. The cottage itself is nice and clean, there is a front balcony which faces the Atlantic ocean and has an awesome view. We were able to make BBQ and enjoyed the wonderful view. The house is also pretty convenient to Acadia National Park and is also couple blocks away from many other liquor store/coffee shops/restaurants, so we found that really convenient. The house is also fully equipped with kitchen wares and furniture, so you would feel like home when you stayed here. I would definitely recommend coming to this place considering it's reasonable rate and the overall experience we got!! Thanks David!

Quaint room overlooking gorgeous Southwest Harbor

5 of 5
The vacation rental Dockside Inn is very quaint, relaxing and overlooks gorgeous Southwest Harbor. Sunset and sunrise views are picturesque. There are quite a few restaurants within walking distance. The customer service was great. The only two drawbacks were 1) not having a functional WIFI network and 2) the TV being very small. But even these issues were minor inconveniences on this vacation. Will definitely go back to this place when we can.

Perfect location to enjoy the peace and beauty of Acadia National Park

5 of 5
To start: in reviewing the photos there have been some positive changes. There is now a nice flat screen TV in the living room with cable and on demand channels. My son was happy to be able to watch is favorite kid shows. The washer and dryer are now side by side full size machines. It was great to be able to do laundry during our stay. Now the review: the 4 of us from California (my husband and I, our 5 year old son and my 83 year old mom) spent a glorious week at the quaint spruce cottage. The place was completely well stocked and met all our needs. We cooked most of our meals and had ample pots, pans dishes....everything you need. Everyone agreed that the beds were very comfortable and we all slept great after our daily adventures. The cottage is well stocked with books, games, and puzzles. The location is perfect; away from the crowds at Bar Harbor but close enough so you can visit or take the Island Explorer bus for free. The stop is less than a 5 minute walk from the cottage. The cottage is also close to Echo Lake beach where we enjoyed swimming and sand castle building. The beach had great changing rooms and lifeguards on duty. We also went canoeing at Long Pond, a short drive from the cottage. We made use of the folding patio chairs and took them to the beach with us. The grounds of the cottage are lovely with a pond and lovely flowers. We saw deer near the pond and heard frogs at night. My husband used the gas grill to cook many meals. He was happy to find all he needed to BBQ. We got lots of great ideas from Andy and Jennie's suggestion binder and really enjoyed our nature tour on Island cruises, Lobster at Thurston's, and afternoon tea at Jordan Pond. A good time was had by all and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring the East coast and came away recharged and refreshed. I highly recommend. You would be hard pressed to find a better place.
