We all thoroughly enjoyed our week at Mill Point. The cottage was immaculate upon our arrival (the first thing our children did was to take off their shoes) and was well-equipped with absolutely everything we needed to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Although we are conscientious water and electricity users to begin with, it was absolutely no problem for our family of five to live "off-the-grid." The cottage layout and decor, both inside and outside, were done in a most tasteful manner and the stunning views in every direction made for a vacation of daydreaming and complete relaxation. The tide here changes 15 ft and we all enjoyed watching the changing of the tide and exploring the rocky and sandy beaches in low tide. Sunsets and sunrises were equally amazing, as well as watching the loons, lobster boats, and of course the seals. We were glad to have our raincoats with us because even the foggy, rainy days were spent outside climbing around the rocks, exploring the beaches, and walking over to Starboard Island during low tide. We did take a half-day and another whole day to visit Jasper Beach and Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor, respectively, but I have to admit that we were so happy to return to the cottage! It truly was a dream vacation in every way imaginable for me, my husband, and our three children (ages 8, 5, and 3 years) and we hope we are lucky enough to be able to return there again next year (and the next and the next and the next)! Thank you to Marybeth and her husband for creating this dream place and opening it up to share with others!

Well before arriving it was clear that Rich and Julie were superlative hosts and hoped to do everything they could to make our stay a pleasure. This home is elegantly compact, meticulously furnished, and extraordinarily comfortable and welcoming. The information binders provided details of all of the house's amenities and those of the surrounding area and are well worth a read upon arrival. Despite the comprehensive "things to do" in the area suggested, we were so smitten with the Prowhouse that we hardly left it at all, save a few walks in the surrounding woods and down to the beach. The cliff-top perch is dramatic and we would agree with the hosts that it's probably not a good fit with young children. A romantic, secluded stretch of coastline that feels far away from everything (but within a 20 min drive of town). Both the indoor and outdoor spaces are comfortable and well conceived to fit the gorgeous surroundings. Everything was spotless, directions were exact, and the hosts were unfailingly attentive. We have stayed in many rental properties all over the country and this one truly merits the five stars. The quality and thoughtfulness of the home that Rich and Julie have to share is a rare treat. We would absolutely recommend this property and have already booked another week in the fall. We can't wait to return. Heartfelt thanks, A & A

This was a wonderful two weeks. You actually live in an antique collection while vacationing. Views were fantastic and access to many other areas of interest were extra special. Listing accurately depicts the property. It was clean and the owner provide personal service to ensure things were as expected. I would recommend this property for couples. Helen's is a great place to eat. Would recommend a trip to Jaspers Beach and Roque Bluff.
