Lubec Cottage was probably one of the most relaxing and gorgeous cottages I think you can find in Maine. The town is enchanting and offers a lot of relaxation and adventure all in one. When we stayed we spent the mornings waking up to the sunshine coming through the windows of the master bedroom. We then would go downstairs and make breakfast and still have the gorgeous views out the back windows. We found ourselves visiting the town over and over to eat at the local restaurants specifically, Franks, Uncle Kippys and The Wharf, which had amazing views and food. The people of Lubec were so friendly and made us feel at home every time we went into town. We found ourselves going to Quaddy Park and walking the trails along the coast and seeing breathtaking views from on top of the rocky coastline. If you visit here make sure you visit the many places along boot cove road, there are hidden paths and great spots to walk.
Now I would like to tell you about your hostess, Catherine. She was absolutely the best. She made our stay so personal and warm, from the moment we walked in and saw our welcome package that had different pieces of Lubec within it. She thought of everything when she prepares the cottage for her visiting friends , from the birthday candles in case you have one while your there, the many baking tools in the kitchen, and the ability to grill outback with the ocean as your view. Catherine fills the cottage with artwork from local artists and items you would find washed up on the beaches of Maine. All in all this trip was like visiting a little piece of heaven. We cannot wait to visit again and see what else Lubec has in store for us.
