WOW!

5 of 5
First off the cottage was awesome, the sunrises were beyond amazing and Catherine is a champ when it comes to great customer service. We arrived just after Hurricane Arthur had made a visit. The power was out at the cabin and Catherine made an appearance to check on us and make sure we wanted to stay without power or make other arrangements. We stayed and the power was back on later that night. Catherine goes the extra mile to welcome her guests with personalized treats such as the best chocolate cupcake ever made, with candles, for my 50th birthday. The sun rises early in Lubec and it is beautiful. I have pictures of every morning. The cottage is the cleanest rental I have ever stayed in. The decks are wonderful to sit and watch the sunrise or watch an occasional person stroll along the sandbar. Lubec is a friendly town with plenty of fabulous places to eat. The ice cream shop is a favorite of mine. We enjoyed a great church service at the Christian Temple Church and met some really nice folks. I could have stayed until October. The locals tell me that October is when it gets cold and being from Texas I am not sure that I could function in the Maine winter season but I could definitely enjoy living in Maine for the summer, especially in Lubec. This trip had been on my bucket list for 20+ years. I wanted to see, hear and feel the ocean, watch the sun rise over it, see the whales, see a moose and visit the lighthouses. I accomplished all of these, except seeing a moose, in the first full day of our visit. For the remainder of the week, I just kept repeating the process. With that being said, all I can say is, "Wow!" Thanks Catherine for all your help in making my dream come true. Lori

TOTALLY SPECTACULAR

5 of 5
Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our time at Beach Glass Cottage. The views were nothing but spectacular! Sunrises are gorgeous, and we happened to have a full moon, on a clear night, with high tide! Just lovely! And waking up to look out on the ocean was so refreshing!!! The kitchen is stocked with high quality cookware, so cooking with the family was great fun! The relaxing breeze while on the deck made even a warm day lovely. Everyone had a cozy place to sleep and space to relax. The amenities are accurately listed, and the cottage is clean and well maintained. We walked the beach, built sandcastles, walked out to the lighthouse at low tide, and saw crabs, clams, jellyfish, sand dollars. Another adventure out to a different peninsula that appeared at low tide took us out to see seals! We stayed close by to thoroughly enjoy the vast beach just outside the cottage, and then we ventured to Campobello Island for a day, West Quoddy is great fun at low and high tide, went inland Kayaking, and downtown Lubec is quaint and enjoyable. The restaurants were all delicious. We would highly recommend Beach Glass Cottage as a place to rest, relax, enjoy some great outdoors and see some truly beautiful views!

NO QUESTION THIS IS A PERFECT CHOICE

5 of 5
We're a married couple traveling with our daughter (who was running in the Bay of Fundy Marathon) and 6 year old granddaughter. The two bedrooms were perfect - the queen bed in one and two twins in the other. And TWO bathrooms - almost impossible to find. The property was just as described - an extremely well equipped kitchen (large enough to easily work in) with a small table perfect for setting up a laptop (Wi-Fi is included). There's a dining room for six with a gas fire place and the living room is large with two couches. The living room and the master bedroom have floor to ceiling sliding doors allowing a fantastic view of a salt water marsh (home to six Canada Geese) and the ocean and rock bound coast in the distance. The cottage was very clean and everything worked as it should. There were a couple of chilly nights (it is Maine after all) and the central furnace kept us well warmed. There's no A/C but three of the rooms have heavy duty ceiling fans if needed. There's a huge deck (with lounges and chairs) and a vast lawn area. The edges of the lawn are bordered by native untrimmed grasses, berry bushes and the like which really make you feel you're not hemmed in by neighbors. Which is why you chose this place in the first place. Karen, the manager, was more than accommodating. Our trip from the South resulted in being bumped off a number of flights so we weren't really sure how we would get there let alone when. She said to just arrive when we could and if it was in the middle of the night she'd leave a light on so we could get in. It put us at ease knowing someone was looking out for us. Karen also gave us good tips on watching the Marathon as well as shopping, touring and dining tips. We only ate out once - at Killian's Irish Pub. Fantastic fish chowder and my favorite Shepherd's Pie. The kid had a really scrumptious burger. We have no qualms recommending Channel View Cottage. It's a very nice property with a very nice rental agent/manager. Be sure to take your Passport so you can go sightseeing on Campobello Island in New Brunswick. And the Ganong Chocolate Museum in St. Stephen.
