        Great Getaway

What an awesome place to stay! The cabin was fully loaded, clean, and well maintained. Judy was a very pleasant person to rent from. She was more than efficient in answering our questions and providing information to make our time in Maine one of the most enjoyable trips we spent as a family. I would definitely recommend this place. We had fun hiking and biking on the carriage roads in Acadia National Park. Some other activities we enjoyed were.... Shopping- Main Street Fishing- Vagabond deep sea fishing Movie pizza-Real pizza cinema Music- bar harbor town band/ best ice cream across from the park Sunrise -Cadillac mountain Although it rained a couple of days, we were happy to spend quality family time in the cabin where we played games, watched DVDs, cooked, grilled,.... There's so much to see. The whole family had a blast. We would love to one day revisit the cabin and finish our long list of things to do and see!!! Thanks for a wonderful vacation, Judy!!

Awesome in every sense of the word!

An impromptu get away left all with some amazing memories. Three generations (all adults) shared this amazing cabin during Labor Day week. I really can’t think of anything negative to say, and it’s not because I have low standards. I have stayed in many vacation rentals; Belize, Puerto Rico, SW Ohio and Bar Harbor and this location by far, had the highest quality amenities. The appliances were top end, right down to the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner. The Bunk House was an extra special touch, gave some private space to my son and his wife. The kitchen and bathroom were well above par. The kitchen even had some pantry staples (and lots of spices) which was really nice. I’m familiar with the area as I grew up in Bar Harbor. One of the reasons we choose this rental is due to its close proximity to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. However, when you’re sitting on the front porch with your morning coffee, you are worlds away from everything that “busys” (is that even a word?) up your life. The only thing that I can mention that I wish they had, was a bar/pole to hang clothes on. There is a nice size dresser with drawers in the room with the king bed. However, I like to hang clothes (not a fan of ironing) and since my clothes were in a suitcase from flying, I just used the broom handle across a rail and on my suitcase.
