Lovely Log Home

4 of 5
The log home was truly breath taking, it had every thing to make our stay wonderful. We missed out on the day time quite and relaxing though, with the ground breaking of a new home across the street, all we had from 7:00 until 4:00 each week day was heavy equipment and chain saw noise, (no naps possible). We were very excited to see the flock of turkeys that came into the yard each evening to snack on the tasty raspberries. Would recommend this home to all that do not have problems with stairs as there is no access to the main floor without a flight of stairs. Very nice to have bathrooms on each floor.

Awesome in every sense of the word!

5 of 5
An impromptu get away left all with some amazing memories. Three generations (all adults) shared this amazing cabin during Labor Day week. I really can’t think of anything negative to say, and it’s not because I have low standards. I have stayed in many vacation rentals; Belize, Puerto Rico, SW Ohio and Bar Harbor and this location by far, had the highest quality amenities. The appliances were top end, right down to the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner. The Bunk House was an extra special touch, gave some private space to my son and his wife. The kitchen and bathroom were well above par. The kitchen even had some pantry staples (and lots of spices) which was really nice. I’m familiar with the area as I grew up in Bar Harbor. One of the reasons we choose this rental is due to its close proximity to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor. However, when you’re sitting on the front porch with your morning coffee, you are worlds away from everything that “busys” (is that even a word?) up your life. The only thing that I can mention that I wish they had, was a bar/pole to hang clothes on. There is a nice size dresser with drawers in the room with the king bed. However, I like to hang clothes (not a fan of ironing) and since my clothes were in a suitcase from flying, I just used the broom handle across a rail and on my suitcase.
