Relaxing Girls Weekend Away

5 of 5
We had an incredible girls weekend away in October of 2014. The location is incredible. You still have the remote private feeling and in 5 minutes you can be at Dunkin Donuts for your morning coffee. Scott was great to work with. He informed us of easy hiking trails in the area. We travelled to Portland, Portsmouth, Ogunquit and of course Kittery shopping. Within 10 minutes we did a festive Zombie ziplining evening. This was a great experience! The house itself was a picturesque New England home. The photos do not do it justice. Even though Scott has projects going on the house there was an incredible homey feel. The large kitchen, dining and living room area was perfect. We all could sit and chat and work on projects together in the same room. You really could sit and relax in this home. Even though we did not have to use the yard for anything we all mentioned that we would love to vacation with each other again with our kids. There was a lot of woods to explore along with a really cool tree house. The kids would be entertained for a while. There is a ton of sleeping areas. Depending on the firmness or softness that one prefers for a mattress would determine which bed that you would stay in. The house was clean and ready for renters. We had a great experience and hope to visit there again!

Halloween in Kittery & Portsmouth 2014

4 of 5
My husband and I took a long weekend for a late fall getaway in the New England area. We stayed in Kittery, ME at this little dog friendly studio apt a few blocks from kittery's main center. Location was perfect for us. We brought our small dog and took daily walks down to Lils for our morning coffee. We had researched Portsmouth a bit before we arrived and were happy to be only a 10minute walk from the downtown Area. Linda, the owner of the studio lives upstairs and while we knew she was available if need be, she stayed out of our way and let us enjoy our stay. She was extremely nice and recommended the Portsmouth Halloween parade which we didn't know about. She even offered costumes for us to borrow if we wanted to dress up. The small studio was just what we needed. And the value was great. We took the Portsmouth eats food tour and made it a point to try out kittery's raved about black birch restaurant. All in all, we ate GOOD! Overall the getaway was a success even despite the cold rainy weather we ran into while there. We would definitely return... in the spring!

Labor Day weekend

4 of 5
The house was very clean and the owners were very helpful when needed. The one thing that was a problem was that it was not completely handicapped accessible as was told to us. If a person is in a wheelchair, there are some steps from the kitchen elevator to the main living room, etc. That was a problem. Also, the lip going into the elevator from the garage was too high for a scooter to go over - it had to be carried. This is very upsetting for the person who is handicapped and wants to be independent. Also, the bathrooms are not fully accessible. This was very disappointing and our handicapped guest had to leave early because of these difficulties. The location of the home was beautiful. Customer service was good. I would recommend the property to anyone except a handicapped person. We went into Portsmouth for breakfasts and some dinners. Loved Popovers! Shopping at the outlets, only minutes away, was great and some nice restaurants on the same highway.
