Great Location, but know what you are getting!

4 of 5
Location, Location, Location. ‘Waterscape’ offers a premier location that affords great views and easy walking to wonderful shops and restaurants. Three of us couples made a mutual decision to make this our vacation destination and it proved to be a good choice. We booked our stay in the ‘penthouse’ which offered three bedrooms and two full baths. The condo was beautifully decorated, the common space offered more than enough space for all of us and the kitchen was well stocked. Our favorite spot, however, had to be the amazing sun porch and attached outdoor deck. We spent many hours there enjoying the view! However, we were confused over how bedrooms were described in the VRBO listing. The facility is described as 5 bedrooms but we did not realize that these are in different ‘condo’ spaces so we did not know which of the described beds were in the ‘penthouse.’ What we found was a beautiful master suite with a king bed and attached bath; one large bedroom with two twin beds (which is not listed in the descriptions at all); and one very small room listed as a queen (these two rooms shared one bath). This "queen" turned out to be a futon base with a queen air mattress that hung over the edges. One of our couples used it and kept sliding off the mattress into the crack between the back of the futon and air mattress. This did not meet our expectations and so we requested a change. We were lucky that one of the other condo bedrooms was available but were disappointed in the manner in which the owner handled this problem, culminating in his charging us more. While we enjoyed the space and would recommend it, our advice is ‘ask before you go’ so you know for certain what you are or are not getting.

This property is absolutely amazing!!

5 of 5
The location is fabulous; the home is extremely comfortable and the owners could not have been more accommodating! We hope to have a repeat visit next year. If you want the stunning beauty of the ocean seemingly all to yourself and the solitude and privacy that comes with having your own peninsula, this is the vacation home for you! There was plenty of room for our family of six adults and the beautiful green lawn and rocky shore safely protecting the house from the ocean provided plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities or to just sit and be mesmerized by the continuously crashing waves. If you ever do want to leave (we didn’t), there are several nice sandy beaches nearby which are great for walking. The quaint town of Kennebunkport is 20 minutes south and Maine’s largest city Portland is about 40 minutes north. The location is perfect in every way!

Kennebunport's Hidden Gem!

5 of 5
My family and our dogs had an unforgettable Kennebunkport experience while staying at his utopian farmhouse! Situated on approximately 10 open acres and surrounded by more than 250 acres of protected land, this farmhouse is the perfect choice for those traveling with or without pets, who are looking for a spacious, comfortable, and private stay while visiting the beautiful Kennebunkport area. The landscape and set up of the home inside was stunning. The house is very clean and spacious and can accomodate a large group. The kitchen is equipped with all top line appliances and is continuous with the living room containing a lovely and warm 2 sided fireplace. There are windows lining the entire living room and kitchen area which overlook the picturesque landscape. There are two outdoor porches with beautiful views overlooking the barn and farm animals below. There is plenty of land for your children and pets to enjoy and a clear pond for those with dogs who enjoy the water. The location is a stones throw from downtown Kennebunkport and its many attractions including Cape Porpoise and the Bush compound on Walker's point. The barn is full of rescued farm animals, including 2 pot belly pigs, several goats, chickens, and even geese. The farm animals are all very gentle/friendly and are managed by a friendly employee who resides in a private location on the premises. We highly recommend this home rental. We will definitely plan on renting this house again!
