Excellent family summer getaway

5 of 5
This house is just what our family of 4 was looking for. We were close enough to the beaches and Kennebunkport center, but were also off the beaten path on a quiet cul-de-sac and had a nice quiet retreat. The house was very clean and well-appointed from the cook’s kitchen to the spacious living room, to the private back yard. The bedrooms are not air conditioned, but a nice breeze and window fans kept the rooms comfortable in July. We enjoyed great weather, but the house is filled with books for all ages and interests, games, and a piano. The beach chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas provided in the house were really helpful for days at the beach. I would highly recommend this rental and would definitely return again.

GREAT WATERSCAPE EXPERIENCE,

5 of 5
We were privileged to spend a week in this wonderful home! We rented five bedrooms with four baths and had a delightful experience with our family of nine adults and two children. The home itself is beautiful, spacious and well-maintained. And perhaps even more importantly, the experience of working with the owner was superb. Roger made himself available to answer questions or meet any request and then added helpful information. Since we had never vacationed in the area before, we really appreciated his suggestions and his attention to detail when answering all our concerns. The very beautiful gardens and the excellent location on the water was a treat. We certainly enjoyed watching the wildlife and the movement of tides that changed the water view during the day and night. Roger encouraged us to feed the ducks with food he provided. The ducks came up to the dining room windows several times a day and feeding them was fun for all if us! The Lower Village of Kennebunk and Kennebunkport are in view from the house and it is literally a short walk to shops, restaurants, boat rentals, ship excursions and even the beach. So being on the water AND in such close proximity to town is the best possible combination! With summer crowds and parking shortages in town, that is a very convenient feature of this rental. The home itself is so nice. Richly decorated with lovely pieces, it has something interesting to see in each room. The bedrooms were ample in size, most with ensuite baths. The doors in the home have gaskets that seal out noise and the lighting is perfect with dimmer switches everywhere. The bedroom locations helped insure privacy among family members, too, so that the West Coast members could sleep a bit later than the others. The home has three fireplaces in the common spaces and windows galore to take in the water and garden views. The gathering areas are open and spacious. A huge dining table and an enormous living room are a plus for family time. We enjoyed the large screened porch and took some meals there. Our favorite though, was probably the super kitchen! Enough room, refrigerator space, sinks and dishwashers for the many cooks in our family and it is amply supplied with pretty dishware, glasses and cookware. We even cancelled dinner reservations on our last evening to enjoy grilling and using the kitchen one last time. All the family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderful rental home! Thank you!
