                      Home away from Home! RELAXATION!

                      5 of 5
Upon our arrival, we were greeted and made to feel like one of the family and we did ! The cottage has everything you need to have an enjoyable vacation. The kitchen is fully equipped and even had a lobster pot, which we used a few times. Carriage House is just a short drive to the area Lobster company. Being within steps of the Sandy River Beach was amazing and the view is incredible. We received many great recommendations for local attractions in the area. There are hiking trails on the Great Wass Island that we enjoyed. Our educational tour of the DownEast Institute was amazing and I'm glad we didn't miss it. This is a vacation my family will never forget. Hopefully , we can plan a return trip soon because it was so hard to leave.

                      Loved it

                      4 of 5
We loved the week we spent at the Bluenose Cottage. The cottage is tiny and delightful. The only problem we had was the wi-fi was erratic. But, it was perfect, extremely clean, comfortable and quiet, and has a wonderful view of the working Jonesport harbor from the deck and sun porch. We loved to sit there, watching the boats come in and out, watching the fog coming and out, watching the sunset. We recommend this cottage.

                      Get Away From It All!!!!

                      5 of 5
The cottage is just what you need and don't need: R&R and no TV. Plus, it's location is not only 'Wyethy', but located so you're never more than an hour or so from Bar Harbor/Ellsworth or Calais. You mustn't let the weather spoil your plans though: we had FOG all but 2 days we were there, which kept the temps low, but the mosquitoes as well. Other than that, we had a really nice time. Down East is so peaceful and relaxing and the locals are great, treat you like you've been there forever. The people at Aunt Millie's in Jonesboro are a perfect example. There's actually a sardine museum nearby that you should check out...it's uncanny. If you bring your dog as we did, there is almost no place they aren't welcome. She had fun at all the beaches we went to and they get free ice cream at the River Side food truck on the side of the road. Back at the cottage you can kick back and play some games or walk down to the water. Altho, a clearer path would be better. If your ready to leave it all behind, this is it. Would definitely come back again!
