You will live this cottage!

5 of 5
We had a wonderful two week vacation at this charming cottage! The cottage is accurately described and is very, very clean. Holy and Mark, the owners, were wonderful and kind hosts. We enjoyed the beautiful lake for fishing and swimming. We did bring bikes, but the roads were a little busy and narrow for us to use them. We made several day trips to Rockland, Camden, and Pemaquid Lake. All of these trips were worthwhile and interesting. We highly recommend this cabin for a stress free and relaxing vacation!

Off the beaten path, or a road less traveled.

This is a lovely place, I have lived here though the years off an on. The cottage is a lovely wood interior, open ceiling to the peak. There is a loft with a great birds eye view of the lake. In the winter it is wonderful to be up there and listen to the ice moan and crack. In the summer there is a nice little beach on the shore line. A new deck on the shore, its nice too sit and take in a sunrise over the lake, or any time for that matter. The Loons and more recently Bald Eagles live on the lake, It is such a treat to listen and see them. I have enjoyed the time that I have spent there a great deal. Its rustic and quaint, if it fits you you will come back.

A little bit of everything!

I have had a number of coast area rentals in Maine, but this was the best experience yet. The view out the back is beautiful. The house is roomy and comfortable. The house has a lot to offer. The general store is a couple minute walk, or there is a dock there which you can take a boat up to, or of course you can drive. The dock is nice to have, along with the boats. Not to mention the frequent visits from ducks that come right up to the back yard. It is extremely close to one of the state parks which has a beach, and a reasonable drive to many Maine landmarks. Nice little feature was one room that has a window air conditioner. I don't come across many rentals that have any air conditioner. It was nice to be able to relax in that room if it got particularly hot. The house itself is charming, has a roomy kitchen with every feature. It is a quiet and pleasant place for people who are site seeing, But easily full featured enough for families with Children. I would be tempted to go on about how great the stay was. I would add that the owners are extremely pleasant. They were very helpful when I spoke to them. I would just add, that the pictures don't really express how nice it is. It was even nicer than I imagined it based off the pictures. I have spent a lot of time browsing these sites. There is simply NOT a better offering at the rent they are asking.
