                  Cozy in Acadia

                  5 of 5
My teenage niece and I had an enjoyable stay at Hyland Cottage. We found the location ideal, surrounded by National Park sites, close enough to Bar Harbor (15 minutes), but away from all the bustle and noise. The cottage offers privacy without being too remote; stores and restaurants in southwest Harbor are a short drive. You can be diving off The Ledges of Echo Lake in 3 minutes, walking onto its sandy beach in less than 10. The cottage itself is exactly as pictured, very clean and cozy. Kitchen is well stocked, living room fireplace is perfect to take the edge off chilly nights, and living area is arranged for comfy conversations. The deck does offer a nice peek of Somes Sound and is an excellent vantage point for deer watching, especially with your morning coffee. After a busy day riding bikes on Carriage Roads, driving the Park Loop, or kayaking in the bay, Hyland Cottage is a great place to come home to.

                  Outstanding Place to Stay

                  5 of 5
We love staying here! This was our third year in a row and it is so cozy and has everything you need! Convenient to Bar Harbor, SW Harbor but quiet enough to relax! We hope to come back again in the near future! The hiking is awesome although we were there during the govt shutdown but could still hike where we wanted for the most part. Great places to eat in Bar Harbor and the leaves were beautiful! Summer is great up there but fall is gorgeous! Nancy and Mandy are awesome!

Cozy and rustic with an amazing view

                  5 of 5
My partner and I stayed at Deer Track (the cabin up the hill from Seaweed) for a week in October 2012 with our dog, and we absolutely loved it! And, as the name would suggest, we saw lots of deer! The cabin is adorable and cozy with a prize-winning view. The open layout makes great use of the small space. We especially loved the expansive deck, the central fireplace, and the king size bed tucked into its own cozy nook. This cabin is comfortable but rustic. If you're looking for luxury, stay elsewhere. If you're looking for a comfortable and cozy place to sleep where you'll wake to a glorious sunrise over the fjord, this cabin is for you. The kitchen is small but nicely laid out. The bathroom is small and—with a curtain for a door—does not offer the privacy some might require, but it was perfect for us. The uninterrupted view of Somes Sound and the mountains from high up on the cliff is stunning, and the location is perfect—on the quiet side of the island but close to everything. Mimi and Rick are great! They're friendly, helpful, and available. We always had plenty of firewood, towels, etc. Even the dog was sad to leave at the end of the week. It had become home. We're already planning our next stay at Deer Track!
