Convenient and comfortable

5 of 5
Perfect in every way. We walked to the West Side area of Mt Abram (and some of us walked home early when the cold got the better of them - nice to be so close!). The house was perfect for our group (2 families, 5 children). The finished basement (with comfy radiant heat) offered a perfect place for the kids to play, while the older folks lounged around the wood stove. In addition to skiing at Mt Abram, we also snowshoed out the back yard to miles of snow mobile trails with spectacular westerly views to Sunday River and White Mountains. The house was spotless and everything worked as it should (I even got some sort of game box console working on the basement TV for the kids). The property manager was flexible and left the house open for us (saving us a trip to their office to pick up keys). We would love to come back for another stay later this year or next season. The combination of this house and Mt Abram ticket prices makes skiing seem almost affordable.

Cozy setting near Sunday River & Abram!

5 of 5
This is a great property with perfect location for Sunday River, Mt. Abrams and western Maine. We stayed here and skied at Sunday River, it is a quick ride and you can't beat the cozy setting with fireplace, spacious rooms (compared to anything up at the mountain it huge!) and gorgeous waterfront location on Twitchell Pond. We loved getting up in the morning and watching the pond (which hadn't quick frozen over yet) and enjoying a cup of coffee. It has great bedding and updated bathrooms and kitchen and plenty of room for the adults to hang out while the kids played in a next door room. Easy to operate gas fireplace was a favorite of the living room too. Also close to downtown Bethel and all the restaurants and don't miss the restaurant at the end of the road which had awesome breakfast, lunch and dinner!
