Eastport Maine

5 of 5
The house was as described. It was very spacious and the view was fantastic. We met the owners and they were great people, filled us in on the local history. The house is not far from downtown so we found ourselves walking to town. At night we visited some of the restaurants and found the local people to be very welcoming and willing to share their knowledge of the area. There is a local IGA and the prices were compatible to home. We would definitely rent this house again.

This place was wonderful!

Clean, colorful and a beautiful, relaxing view. Elegantly but comfortably decorated. Lisa doesn't skip a beat! She thinks of it all with grace. We definitely shall return. R and B

Sea Glass Studio

5 of 5
My wife and I were coming to Eastport to look at a home for sale. Though the rental was listed from Saturday to Saturday the owner was able to accomadate our Thursday arrival and the next Sunday departure. Since it was just two of us, we stayed in the Sea Glass Studio. With its separate entrance, it was just what we needed. The queen size bed was comfortable and the kitchen allowed us to have breakfast and some lunches there. The bathroom was adequate. It had only a stall shower, but that was fine with us. The apartment was very roomy and clean and there was a nice yard with water views. As we were there when Sandy passed through, we didn't make much use of that! Also, we were able to use the land line phone in the apartment for local and long distance calls. This is important in Eastport, because most of the time your cell phone will roam to a Canadian tower. Our only negative was the cable tv did not work. This was really only a problem because of the approaching storm. As an added bonus, on two different occasions we had deer in the yard that were fun to watch. I would recommend Sea Glass for a single person or a couple. The owner was very accomodating and where else do you get a bottle of "Sea Glass" wine with your stay?
