The kids LOVED this property!

5 of 5
We have stayed at many different homes during our vacations and this "camp" on molasses Pond was no "Camp" it was a much more comfortable home. It was nice to be able to do laundry and we had all the comforts of home. The lawns were amazing to run around and play soccer with the whole family. My kids played horseshoes, soccer, tag, and played in the woods until they couldn't see then sat by the bonfire with us cooking marshmallows and talking about the fun of the day, truly wonderful memories! The kids absolutely LOVED the pond and being able to jump right in off the dock. We rented kayaks and there was plenty of exploring around the pond. we packed lunches and found a beautiful secluded beach just a short ways from "our" dock! Holly was very helpful and easy to communicate with and full of knowledge of downeast maine. We will definitely recommend this property to our friends! Dianne

Relaxed and rejuvenated

5 of 5
We couldn't have asked for a better house or location. From the moment we pulled up, it felt like we were home for the week. Every morning I brought my cup of coffee down to the docks for a moment of peace before our day began exploring the area. Acadia was a quick 40 minute trip south, which we took advantage of 3 of the 7 days we were there. It was even better because we went right after the busy season and therefore didn't have to deal with the crowds. Vacation for us is a time to reflect and relax, and that's exactly what you'll get with this house. From sitting out on the deck listening to the sounds off nature at night, to opening up the French doors in the living room, inviting the outside in, this house had it all. Thank you so much for an amazing place to retreat to.

Inexpensive Lakeside Retreat

4 of 5
Best feature was swimming and free canoeing at the lake. Nice and quiet. All the beds are on the 2nd floor in one room so no problem for the 5 of us since we get along great. The boiler only holds enough hot water for 2 people every hour or so. Owner very friendly and responsive. Thanks for the stay!!
