EAGLE ROOST STAY FALL 2014

4 of 5
We rented Eagle Roost cottage for 3 weeks and shared it with our family and friends. When we walked in the first thing we saw were 4 big windows and 4 rocking chairs ~ a wonderful view of Pigeon Hill Bay and in the distance Petit Manan lighthouse. The cottage was clean ,comfortable, cozy and had plenty of space . The appliances were well maintained and there were plenty of linens and kitchenware. Having a washer and dryer on site was a real plus, we didn't have to give up a day of fun to do laundry. During our stay we hiked the local trails, star gazed, eagle watched & traveled around the area. Wanda was a gracious and helpful agent providing excellent customer service. This is a wonderful area to visit & this cottage with its wow factor view was just the right place.

Just what we needed!

5 of 5
This house was the perfect place for our family getaway. The fall foliage was a beautiful reflection on the calm lake. The night sky was was amazing around the comfy fire pit. We enjoyed the kayaks even though the water was cool. We experienced the beauty of Acadia ,Portland Head Lighthouse and Schoodic peninsula. We tasted samples at Bartlett winery and Allagash brewery. The nearby town of Ellsworth had fun shops of lobster, crafts and tasty ice cream. The owners responded quickly to my inquiries and were accommodating for our travel dates.

An Idyllic Relaxing Rustic Rural Cottage

5 of 5
Situated on inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, we found this cottage to be very idyllic. The location is rural and non touristy. It is quiet and tranquil, augmented by the call of seagulls and a glimpse of an eagle flying in the distance. The view of the tide coming in and out daily was very relaxing. Our daily walks afforded views of islands off the rugged Maine coast, with an occasional deer or two peering through the woods. The cottage is rustic, but with all of the conveniences of home. It is well maintained and very clean, with the kitchen supplied with every utensil that you need for one’s culinary delights. The cottage comes with the convenience of a washer and dryer, which came in very handy for our three-week stay. The owners of the cottage are very congenial and willing to help with any concerns that you may have. Internet access can be had about twelve miles away in Jonesport, either in the town library or just behind it when it is closed. Cell phone coverage seemed to be best about a mile away on the little causeway where one can get beautiful views of sunsets in the evening. The Navigator Restaurant, about twelve miles north, has an excellent menu. In all, the cottage is a very cozy place. We had a wonderful time staying there. We would definitely recommend staying there to anyone.
