Beautiful brand new renovated cottage

5 of 5
Every detail has been taken care of in this absolutely beautiful remodeled cottage with tons of history. The owner is incredibly helpful and a wealth of information on the area not to mention providing delicious locally farmed oysters. Its a short drive to Camden and to Bar Harbor and 5 minutes to downtown picturesque Castine. Everything in the home is brand new and very efficient and clean. The screened in porch was an excellent benefit for long nights playing board games. Theres even a fire-pit for s'mores and ghost stories! I would highly recommend staying at the Honeymoon Cottage and we plan on coming back soon - our son is attending MMA and when we are in maine you'll find us here!

Ideal cottage for our July visit.

5 of 5
We spent over 2 weeks in this lovely, craftsman style cottage. Easy walk to town dock, town green and other venues in the village of Castine. Lots of windows which allowed the predominately southwest breeze to blow through the house and kept us very comfortable. Although the house has two bedrooms and a bath upstairs, we were very comfortable using the first floor bedroom and bath during our stay. A love seat and bench on the enclosed front porch with windows was a pleasant place to sit and read during the day.

Get away, away from tourist

5 of 5
My husband and I just returned to Minnesota from this wonderful get away in Castine Me. The homes location worked out wonderful for us. We wanted to visit the parks and enjoy small hikes. Castine has a beautiful 5 mile hiking trail, with a small establishment on the water front to enjoy a meal at a picnic table on the dock, along with the beach being a few miles down the road. If you are looking for a vacation away from all the other tourist, this is it. The home has everything you need to make you feel as though it was your own personal cabin away from home. We cooked a few lobster meals and the kitchen was stocked to do so. The linens are wonderful along with the up to date kitchen. This home is very clean!! I am not use to homes being only one car length away from the main street, so this did catch me off guard, but the road noise was very limited after dark and did not keep me awake once. Only the skunks walking around the yard woke me up. :) The bedroom up the spiral stair case just made it more charming. If you like the outdoors, take the trip to Baxter State Park, it is worth it.
