We took a three generation (ages 10 - 67) family vacation to Camden and the house was perfect for us all. Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of space to all sit together. The location is superb, a picturesque 10 minute walk to the harbor and village, which has plenty of shops for everything you need for your stay in Camden. The house was immaculate and extremely well stocked, we had fun completing jigsaws and playing the board games that were offered. We enjoyed our morning tea and coffee out on the back porch and our family dinners in the evening around the large dining table. The kids loved that we could walk to end of the street where they could climb on the rocks and watch the boats come and go out of the harbor. Camden is a great base to explore lots of other places, the beach at Lincolnville was within a 10 minute drive, we had great food at the Pig Out BBQ in Belfast, enjoyed visiting many lighthouses including Pemaquid Point which had a great cafe and gift shop next door to it. In Camden itself there is an abundance of gift shops, restaurants, book stores, art galleries, food stores and ice cream stores. You can take one of the boat tours right in Camden harbor and there is a small beach off Bay View Street, about a 20 minute walk from the house. i would have no hesitation in staying here again should I ever find myself back in Camden. Joanne was an absolute delight to talk to and very efficient with the paperwork. We sampled the food at Cappy's including the bakery, Fresh, Camden House of Pizza, River Ducks Ice Cream and the Mariner's Diner, all were very good. We also ate at The Lobster Pound in Lincolnville so some of us could sample the lobster. The food was good and the wait staff were great, our server brought out a live lobster and showed the kids how she could send it to sleep! A fantastic time was had by all in Camden.
