PEACEFUL AND SERENE - JUST AS THE TITLE SAYS

5 of 5
This is our 2nd year vacationing in mid-coast Maine. While we loved the cabin we rented last summer, we changed to a new rental property that had modern conveniences like a dish washer and satellite TV. We were looking for a secluded location to escape from the world for a week – and that is exactly what the Sea Heather provided. This house is located on a private road and there were only a few houses that were occupied. We saw the folks to the right of the house, but no one else. The property was immaculate! The bedding, the dishes, the bathroom, the shower, the grill, the towels – everything was immaculate! The grill even had new cooking utensils! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to have fun cooking! I would also like to mention that the bedding, towels and dishes were high quality – the owners didn’t skimp on anything in this house. The washer and dryer also came in handy! There were some carpenter ants but we saw a nice man who was leaving when we pulled up who had treated the property for them. There were no other bugs in the house and the carpenter ants were never in the kitchen so it was more than manageable. The views were spectacular! We walked along the coastline at low tide (on the rocks of course as the mud flats are slippery). Our dog absolutely loved this place. Even when you are inside, you feel like you are outside – windows and patio doors everywhere. We swam off the rocks at high tide. We saw a few kayaks pass by and a few boats, but overall this is an isolated spot in the world – heaven. After a difficult year and the loss of our mother, this is exactly what we needed to rejuvenate our souls and heal our hearts. Looking forward to returning to the Sea Heather!
