Best Family Vacation Home

5 of 5
This had to have been one of our most favorite vacation homes thus far. Beautiful from the outside and as we walked through the home at first arrival, it couldn't have gotten any sweeter. The house was immaculate and smelled of fresh linen with a beautiful flower arrangement to greet our senses. There was a convenient foyer or mudroom as you walked through the front door where you could take off earth filled footwear and keep the stay more cleanly. We all were intrigued by the house and the layout. We have four children, two girls 11 and 12, and two boys 8 and 9. While my husband and I were a little disappointed at first to find the lake frozen, it turned out to be a glorious wonder witnessed as the ice thawed and vanished up the lake during our week's stay. We were able to thereafter take our children for their first watercraft rides out on the newly thawed lake. An experience they'll always remember. The short drive to Acadia was extremely useful as we visited there all throughout our stay, climbing multiple mountains - summiting Cadillac and viewing the islands was something we'll never forget as a family. I highly recommend this home to anyone who enjoys the outdoors for sure, but also to those who would like a rest away from the demands of life in a comfortable and homey atmosphere. That house and the scenery of the landscape was breathtaking. A choice for all. It is on our favorites list.

This house is the best! Open concept and clean.

The house is big and is very nice. It is the type of house that the kids can walk in with sand on their feet and you're not afraid of ruining anything. Comfortable, cozy and lived in. I loved not worrying about sweeping and cleaning my whole vacation. It's right on the water and has trees on both sides that keep you very private. Dealing with Peggy was easy and extremely friendly. There are grocery stores and shopping 20 minutes away but other than picking up a few necessities we opted to stay and enjoy the lake. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone that wants a comfortable relaxing vacation on a beautiful lake.

We had a great time at the camp and it was all we could ask for. The facilities were extraordinary, the lake was beautiful, and we had a wonderful family gathering. The camp is very spacious.
