WOW!!!

5 of 5
WARNING!!!! Do not rent this home UNLESS you want to thoroughly enjoy a wonderful experience in a thoughtfully designed and decorated house on a private and expansive piece of property overlooking a picturesque tidal cove. The house has a well-appointed kitchen with copious pots and pans to prepare the tradition Maine shore dinner. The living area is adjacent to the kitchen and opens onto a wonderful deck high above the cove that offers great views of the water and sunsets over Pine Island. There is a large dining room and a separate, more formal living room/library. The first floor also includes a very useful laundry/storage room. Upstairs includes three bedrooms that are each charming in their unique ways. The upstairs also has two baths. The grounds are large and very well maintained with spacious lawns on either side of the drive and gorgeous flower and shrub gardens. There is also a very secure fenced space in the rear that is great for pets. The home is located within walking distance of the botanical gardens and a short drive to the Boothbay commons and only a slightly longer drive to the center of Boothbay Harbor. We will certainly strongly consider renting this home again next summer once our travel plans are set if the home is available.

Top-Notch

5 of 5
Just great. Comfortable, lovely touches, like great soap, sheets--little things--not to mention on a beautiful spot overlooking the Damariscotta River. Great host, who went out and bought a new tv when the present one wasn't working properly. Plus-- Wonderful location in Maine for people who don't want to travel a zillion miles north--and on our favorite peninsula, the Pemaquid, because it is so non-touristy. Definitely a plus for a revisit. Yo--Tony!!

Log Cabin on Linekin Bay

5 of 5
My wife and I asked our Grandkids, who visited us for a few days during our stay, for their opinions. After reading them we decided we could not say it better. Linekin Bay Lookout review: (Grandson age 11) I really liked the house on Linekin Bay. It was a really cool spot, the house was clean and kept in tip top shape! What was even cooler is there was a deck by the garage where we loved to hang out and eat! There was also a great little pathway for my sister and I to get down to the community dock, where we would swim and fish. There was a great view everywhere you where in the house. The owner took us on an amazing boat ride, which was a lot of fun. He was also very helpful whenever we had a question. If your looking to rent a house on Linekin Bay make sure to rent there. The house was so comfortable. It seemed like there was always something fun to do there. (Grand daughter age 9) My favorite part of Maine and the log cabin was the boat ride. I thought it was a lot of fun and I thought it was really cool seeing the harbor seal and all of the different islands. I also liked how the owner was really nice and I also liked how there was a look out so we could see the beautiful bay. Another thing about Maine was the different kinds of houses. We stayed in an awesome, amazing log cabin and I wish I could go back next year.
