                    A perfect vacation!

                    5 of 5
Our family - including two teenage girls - spent a wonderful four days on Toddy Pond. Everything was perfect. Quiet, secluded and peaceful. The property was as great as we imagined it would be, and Karen and Mark were extremely helpful, kind and generous. Karen had the cabin stocked with a bottle of wine and snacks, and with coffee making things for our first morning - how thoughtful! And on our last night, the best blueberry pie with ice cream. The fishing, kayaking and deck were wonderful. We enjoyed visits to Blue Hill, Castine and Deer Isle - all easy trips from the cabin. The deck and waterviews (and loon calls) were extremely relaxing. We look forward to visiting again!

Large sunny house easily fits 10

                    4 of 5
Our extended family with 3 couples and 4 kids enjoyed our stay at Loon Cove. Plenty of room for all. The house was is in a great location for or day trips to Acadia NP, Deer Island, Castine, Blue Hill and many other mid-coast Maine towns. The house is spacious, airy, and very light with big windows facing the lake. The bedrooms are large and well appointed. We definitely recommend this location. Toddy Pond is very interesting; a great place for leisurely paddling and exploring. Many large rocks and islands to explore.

Beautiful cottage, wonderful hosts, great spot

                    5 of 5
This is a wonderful vacation property. The cottage is charmingly beautiful, immaculately clean and user-friendly. The owners are perfectly helpful, warm and friendly, but wholly unobtrusive. We stayed 11 days, with our 3 teenagers, all of whom shared the upstairs living space with no complaints. Blue Hill is a fun little town. Swimming and kayaking in the harbor (with 2 kayaks provided by the owners, as well as a canoe) is a must, where 4 seals are frequently seen frolicking around. There is a beautiful hike up Blue Hill Mountain a 5-minute drive from the cottage. Try to catch a play put on by the New Surrey Theater Company in the Blue Hill Town Hall. Acadia National Park is a 45-minute drive away. Highly recommend hiking up Cadillac Mountain via the West Face. And you have to see the Lumberjack Show, an easy 30 minute drive away. All of the little towns on the peninsula are also worth visiting. Don't miss the best Mexican restaurant in the Northeast, El El Frijoles, a 15-20 minute drive away. We also had a lovely sail in Acadia, using a local sailing company whose brochure can be found in the cottage. Cannot recommend this property enough to anyone looking for the quintessential Maine summer vacation.
