Charming

5 of 5
Was looking for a different and relaxing way to celebrate my boyfriends birthday with a group of friends and this did the trick. We were driving from new jersey about a good 7 hr drive. The owner gave us very thorough instructions and was quick to answer any questions i had before arriving. The home was clean and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. The kitchen was fully stocked with any spices, utensils, pots, pans, etc which was a big help. Its located about 15 minutes from the beautiful sunday covered bridge which is an absolute must see and the sunday river resort where we enjoyed the lift to the top of the mountain with a breathtaking view. While we stayed there was an annual harvest festival going on and of course we had to stop by. The locals were so nice and helpful in giving us suggestions on things we must do before we leave. All in all we had an amazing, scenic trip and my only regret is not staying longer. Will definetely be coming back.

Great family gathering for our 50th anniversary

5 of 5
Owner was excellent to work with and very quick to respond. The 4 bedrooms and loft area were great for our 4 sets of parents and the grandchildren. The open kitchen, dinning and living area were terrific for our central gathering area. The 8 adults had the dinning table and the kids had the island for eating, People enjoyed the game room and hot tub when we were not out in the community somewhere. All of us went zip lining on our anniversary day. Connie and Roger

What a spot!!!

5 of 5
First of all, I would like to apologize to George for a very, very late review. Second, A chalet is not the first thing that comes to mind when one think of a summer getaway. And I feel that is a mistake! This place was just what we were looking for, secluded, large, well taken care of, with all the technology and comforts of home. George was very attentive before and after our trip (even when I kept pestering him about the types of granite and sinks he had in the house.. I had to know.. they were gorgeous!!!) Anyway, I will be the first to admit, the place was too big for just the two of us, but this was a problem that I enjoyed, we treated the chalet as a home base for some summer adventures to Mt. Washington, Sunday River Golf Course, zip lining on the mountain, and we fished every-single-day!... fly rods, on the Sunday River and the Andro!! 2 minutes from the chalet is Sun Valley Sports. fly shop/canoe and kayak rentals... Many thanks to the owner Lisa who made our week a blast! I would have to say the best part was having the town to ourselves. Clearly this is a ski area, but in the summer there is still much to do, fish, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, zip line (that was great) Summer is great around Sunday River!! If I could give it 7 Stars I would!! Thanks Again Ben and Jess
