Inspiring, delightful, relaxing, getaway. Excellent location. A true Maine experience.

4 of 5
Very charming and comfortable place to hang your hat for a relaxing vacation. The porch overlooking the park and bay was roomy and enticing, great for watching the tide and boats come and go….The location can’t be beat. The downtown area is walking distance and is vibrant and eclectic with lots of shops and places to eat. Belfast is less than an hour to Acadia Natl Park and we made a couple of trips there for some serious hiking and sightseeing. The Saturday Farmers market was a great find, as was Young’s Lobster pound which we enjoyed more than once! Although the upstairs main bathroom was sufficient, it was quite small and made showering a bit tight for a larger person. The lower level ½ bathroom was handy and nicely done. Having the use of a washer and dryer was a nice bonus. The kitchen and main living area was open and spacious and made a great gathering and eating area. The furniture also was adequate however the sofa was elevated on some blocks that made it a particularly precarious perch. The bedrooms were comfortable and we had everything we needed. We received a nice welcome from the owner by phone the day we arrived. We had minor difficulty with the CATV but the wifi made it possible to look up some troubleshooting info and we were able to remedy the situation. The owners/representative were responsive to our needs as well and called us back to confirm we had the problem fixed. With that porch and view though, your TV watching will be at a minimum! All in all we enjoyed our stay immensely and would recommend this place to our friends. I feel like we enjoyed a true Maine experience! Thank you for a great trouble free stay!

A New Tradition Begins! "Mainers" and Robbins Nest are simply the BEST!

5 of 5
We recently returned from one of the best family vacations EVER! Not only did we love the fabulous and beautiful Robbins Nest and its idyllic riverfront location - but we loved everything about Belfast and the surrounding areas! Such an ideal location - right in the middle of the charming mid-coast fishing villages. We spent our two weeks soaking up the local culture and loved it all: fabulous restaurants ('lobstah' galore!), wonderful galleries and shops (the craftsmanship in these parts is stunning!), invigorating schooner sails, trips to Acadia Nat'l Park and Bar Harbor and more! But honestly, we always looked forward to returning to "our home" away from home! We kayaked on 'the Passy', grilled out on the super gas grill, made S'mores for the kids down at the firepit while taking in the wonders of the night sky, played games and generally just enjoyed hanging out together in this wonderfully welcoming and well-equipped "home". During our two week rental period, we had 3 different family/friends groups visit us for a few days each - and it was the ideal way to entertain folks we don't get to see often - EVERYONE wants to do it again! So we will definitely be back! I think we may have started a new tradition!
