Beautiful historic home

5 of 5
We took a "girls-only" trip with 7 of us. We loved everything about the property--the land was beautiful and the home was very nice. It was well-appointed and the owner, very accommodating. We had a special event and found the dining room to be perfect for a special event for a group of our size. The kitchen has been upgraded and was also well-supplied. We thoroughly enjoyed watching a mother fox and her pups, along with the chipmunks. We all highly recommend this property!

A great get-away in midcoast Maine

4 of 5
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbor Cottage. The house was very comfortable and tastefully furnished. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking family meals. The location was an easy walk to downtown and there was a lot going on in Belfast in winter! With Camden and Acadia so close by we had a great mix of indoor and outdoor activities during our stay. My school-age nephews also gave it high marks. The local New Years celebration was a bonus that we didn't expect. We'll be back and would definitely stay here again.

Great Central Coast Location

5 of 5
Stayed here for a week in late July 2013. The tasteful, immaculate cottage was the perfect size for my husband, two teenage sons, and me. It was a great location to "spoke out" to other areas of the central coast. We made day trips to Acadia Nat'l Park/Bar Harbor, Camden, Rockport, Rockland (Farnsworth Art Museum), Maine State Prison Store (Thomaston), Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Harbor, Damriscotta (great italian sandwich deli there), Wiscasset (Butterstamp Workshop -adorable), Marshall Point Lighthouse (featured in "Forrest Gump" movie)/Port Clyde, Fort Knox/Penoscot Narrows Bridge Observatory, and on, and on. The area is so rich with things to see & do, you will never be able to finish your list. We arrived at the beginning of wild blueberry season and enjoyed trying them at the roadside stands nearby. Best clam chowder we had was at Angler's restaurant, down the road from the cottage in Searsport. We tried lobster in many places, but the absolute best place was Young's Lobster Pound, within walking distance of the cottage. Young's is great because of the casual, BYOB, festive family atmosphere. We ate there two nights in a row! We also enjoyed walking into Belfast over the footbridge and attending Art Walk night (on Fridays in the summer), as well as the funky, old-fashioned movie house to go see a movie one day when it rained. Many fabulous memories were created on this trip. We definitely would stay there again, a great place!!!
