                          LOVELY STAY IN BELFAST

                          5 of 5
We were fortunate to stay at the Harbor Street Cottage while our boat was being worked on at the shipyard in town. The home is lovely, with views of the bay from both the first and second floors. It is an easy walk to town, where you can find restaurants and attractions. There is a great coop store a few blocks away, and the kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook in. The house was very clean, and the manager addressed any small issues immediately. There is a large yard, laundry, and hi speed wifi. We would highly recommend this gem to anyone looking to stay in Belfast!

                          GREAT HOUSE, GREAT TOWN

                          5 of 5
My family of six spent 2 fantastic weeks in this lovely home. It is beautifully and comfortably furnished, on a quiet, charming street overlooking the bay; and a mere five minute walk to downtown. Every essential amenity a visitor could need was provided. Especially the kitchen: In our many, many years of vacation rentals, we have never found one more completely equipped, down to all the staples that the vacationer usually has to run out and buy first thing. The town is traditional Maine at its best, with great restaurants, cafes, book shops, art galleries, and antique shops. Not yuppified in the least.

                          GREAT CENTRAL COAST LOCATION

                          5 of 5
Stayed here for a week in late July 2013. The tasteful, immaculate cottage was the perfect size for my husband, two teenage sons, and me. It was a great location to "spoke out" to other areas of the central coast. We made day trips to Acadia Nat'l Park/Bar Harbor, Camden, Rockport, Rockland (Farnsworth Art Museum), Maine State Prison Store (Thomaston), Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Harbor, Damriscotta (great italian sandwich deli there), Wiscasset (Butterstamp Workshop -adorable), Marshall Point Lighthouse (featured in "Forrest Gump" movie)/Port Clyde, Fort Knox/Penoscot Narrows Bridge Observatory, and on, and on. The area is so rich with things to see & do, you will never be able to finish your list. We arrived at the beginning of wild blueberry season and enjoyed trying them at the roadside stands nearby. Best clam chowder we had was at Angler's restaurant, down the road from the cottage in Searsport. We tried lobster in many places, but the absolute best place was Young's Lobster Pound, within walking distance of the cottage. Young's is great because of the casual, BYOB, festive family atmosphere. We ate there two nights in a row! We also enjoyed walking into Belfast over the footbridge and attending Art Walk night (on Fridays in the summer), as well as the funky, old-fashioned movie house to go see a movie one day when it rained. Many fabulous memories were created on this trip. We definitely would stay there again, a great place!!!
