CUTE, COZY, AND CLEAN

5 of 5
The cottage is very well maintained and newly renovated throughout. We were very happy to find it immaculately clean upon our arrival. The bedrooms contain comfortable beds. The two bathrooms were large with modern fixtures. The kitchen is also large and there is a working grill on the deck. The cottage over looks a modern working shipyard. We enjoyed watching large boats as they were dry docked and launched. The early morning noise from the shipyard may bother some, but we merely enjoyed it as the unique experience of a bay bay side town. Short walk to everything Belfast has to offer. The cottage is a diamond in the rough.

PERFECT GETAWAY

5 of 5
This cottage is the perfect getaway. Secluded and very private, but close to Belfast, Camden, Rockland, as well as Ellsworth and Mt Desert Island. The owners could not have been nicer and more pleasant to work with. The cottage was all as advertised and so much more. Carol had anticipated our every want and need. The pond is beautiful and it was such a treat to watch the geese float about as we enjoyed the sunsets. This is definately a jewel to be cherished and enjoyed.

GREAT CENTRAL COAST LOCATION

5 of 5
Stayed here for a week in late July 2013. The tasteful, immaculate cottage was the perfect size for my husband, two teenage sons, and me. It was a great location to "spoke out" to other areas of the central coast. We made day trips to Acadia Nat'l Park/Bar Harbor, Camden, Rockport, Rockland (Farnsworth Art Museum), Maine State Prison Store (Thomaston), Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Harbor, Damriscotta (great italian sandwich deli there), Wiscasset (Butterstamp Workshop -adorable), Marshall Point Lighthouse (featured in "Forrest Gump" movie)/Port Clyde, Fort Knox/Penoscot Narrows Bridge Observatory, and on, and on. The area is so rich with things to see & do, you will never be able to finish your list. We arrived at the beginning of wild blueberry season and enjoyed trying them at the roadside stands nearby. Best clam chowder we had was at Angler's restaurant, down the road from the cottage in Searsport. We tried lobster in many places, but the absolute best place was Young's Lobster Pound, within walking distance of the cottage. Young's is great because of the casual, BYOB, festive family atmosphere. We ate there two nights in a row! We also enjoyed walking into Belfast over the footbridge and attending Art Walk night (on Fridays in the summer), as well as the funky, old-fashioned movie house to go see a movie one day when it rained. Many fabulous memories were created on this trip. We definitely would stay there again, a great place!!!
