This is a large beautiful home with a lovely view of the bridge heading north out of Belfast. Each morning I'd watch to see when the man living in a lobster boat across the bay would light up his fire, presumably to cook breakfast, and then glance up at the painting on the wall of a similar looking boat. We spent the day doing various things in Belfast which is a perfect Maine community- enough art stores and good food to enjoy, but not yet densely packed with tourist trap type stores. Also the nearby Young's lobster pound (http://youngslobsterpound.webs.com/) was excellent. We took our 3.5 pound lobsters home to cook but I very much look forward to eating at Young's on a future outing as they have what appears to be an excellent rustic upstairs room right on the ocean. The home was huge even four the 9 of us who stayed there and every room has a beautiful view of the water. We didn't get to take full advantage of the piano but it was in tune. Also the weather was a bit too cold to take advantage of the grill or outdoor patios but those looked beautiful as well--and also the kayaks would have been great fun in the river had my friend's been a bit more adventuresome (willing to risk getting a bit chilly). We'll definitely be back.
