Fabulous vacation retreat in Maine!

5 of 5
Our family throughly enjoyed our week long this August. From our first meeting with the owner, Mark to the very last day there wasn't anything lacking. The home is immaculate and beautifully furnished for everything from gourmet cooking to just relaxing. The grounds are breathtaking and there is even a canoe, kayak and paddleboat for our use. The location was perfect for our many day adventures up and down the coast and wonderful to come home to. I would recommend this vacation home anyone looking for the perfect Maine vacation!

Hotels were full....awesome alternative!

5 of 5
Owner was very accommodating for a last minute stay. I was in the area for a delivery on Monday morning and it being Labor Day weekend all the normal channels of lodging were full. Was very pleased to find this place and want to commend and recommend the owner for her generosity and flexibility. Had a great time hiking around the property. Overall an enjoyable weekend. This is a good location to use as a home base and do day trips to the surrounding area to see the sights.

A wonderful getaway in Maine

5 of 5
We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. The location is excellent: walk a few minutes to downtown and your backyard is the waterfront. There is a lovely park (large lawn) directly behind the property (we enjoyed live music here on our last night with lots of local families) and rocky beaches to explore just up the path. The home itself is clean and spacious and beautifully decorated. Like walking into a Pottery Barn catalog, this is not your typical beach house with the owner's cast offs from their primary home. Everything was clearly well thought out here. Excellent brand new washer and dryer, which we needed after our adventurous days! We enjoyed the porch for our morning coffee and evening cocktails and our kids were able to play safely all around the property as well as upstairs in the attic loft (complete with a ping pong table and plenty of blankets for making forts!). Definitely hit Young's Lobster Pound for a great Maine experience! We enjoyed many day trips from this Midcoast town: Camden, Rockland, Vinalhaven, Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Belfast City Park is just up the road and offers a fabulous playground, swimming pool, and beachfront. You will not be disappointed in this beautiful vacation home. The owner was kind enough to call and check in with me as well!
