All the amenities!

4 of 5
Great cabin with all the amenities you need. It was great to wake up in the morning and watch the news while drinking coffee that was supplied in the cabin! 5 of us rented it to use as base camp for a snowmobile trip and it is close to ITS 85. We had to flag down the groomer to get directions but once we located it we were pleasently surprised how easy it was to get to. For any potential snowmobilers - Take the Sandy Bay trail and follow for about 1.5 miles until you see a large gravel pit on the right side of the trail. Follow the single track trail to the back right corner of the pit and there is a smalll trail that will take you to the neighborhood where the cabin is located. Take a right on the road unitl you see Virgina Lane. I would definitely rent it again!

A Great Place!

5 of 5
We needed a rental place near Moosehead Lake for only two nights that would accommodate two couples and a two-year-old. After searching the rental sites and reading all reviews, we chose Birch Overlook cabin on Prong Pond. What a great choice! Pat was very helpful both on the phone and via emails when I had questions or asked for recommendations. Their website also gave very useful information and accurate directions for getting there. We found Birch Overlook to be spacious, well-maintained and clean, and fully equipped with supplies for all of our needs. We loved the privacy of the setting, the scenic path to the lake, and the use of our very own kayak and canoe. Our main goal of the trip was to spot moose, which we did! On our last evening there, we took the drive up Lily Bay Road and saw two moose. Our car was the first to pull off the road to watch the moose both times, but before long, other cars had pulled in behind us to watch, too. Our trips into Greenville were fun, too. We especially enjoyed our meal at Flatlanders. I would definitely recommend Moosetracks Cottages to anyone traveling in this area.

Total Bliss!

5 of 5
From the moment we drove in and saw the beautiful perennial gardens, we knew we had picked the right spot. The cabin was spotless and roomy. The deck out back was so peaceful. The little path through the woods down to the dock is so cool. Make sure you get up early to catch all the action on the pond and right out site your window! We saw a moose at 6:00AM stroll right by! Most importantly, I cannot say enough about the owners. Seriously wonderful people. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable (including calling a tow truck when we got stuck in a ditch!). Can’t wait to come back in 2013!
