Great owners; hope to return

5 of 5
This little house is well located on the quietside(i.e. not in Bar Harbor), and has tremendously helpful landlords who live right next door. They went above and beyond in the materials they provided in the rental and in communicating with us. The house was clean, and the bedrooms had what you needed. The master bedroom is actually quite nice and seems to have been recently updated. I did wish the living room furniture was more comfortable for 4 people to hang out, but we just pulled in some kitchen chairs and it was fine. It isn't like we spent much time there any way. The lobster we got from the landlords was awesome-can't get any fresher than that day! Acadia itself is wonderful, and choosing to stay on the quietside is the way to go in my opinion-Bar Harbor crowds and traffic aren't fun to deal with.

A piece of heaven!

This was our 4th trip to Maine and the best place we have stayed so far. It was such a beautiful, quiet, sweet little town and we absolutely loved it. The house was very nice and we felt very much at home there. The children (8 & 10) and the dog loved running around the yard and taking lots of walks out on the rocks when the tide was out. We also loved Back Beach. We were close to many of the activities we wanted to do but not right in the hustle and bustle which we enjoyed. Could not have asked for a better place, Marty was great to work with. We had my mom and sister with us for their first trip to Maine. My mom is 74 and just loved sitting in the living room by the door reading her book with the wonderful breeze. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maine. We try to get back every 2 years or so as it is our favorite place to vacation!

Perfect HomeAway!

5 of 5
The most comfortable, best-furnished Holiday-"Appartement" I´ve ever stayed in! I can only confirm everything written above. Owner was most helpful and patient, especially as there occurred difficulties with money-transfer from Germany. The house is absolute quiet, clean and charming. We had breakfast in the garden every day, took the bikes for rides along the coast, hiked throughout the islands etc, etc. It was just great to come back to "our" home in the evenings. We would love to come again if it wasn´t more than 3000 miles from Germany...
