Great views.

4 of 5
Great views of Maine. House was nice. The most appealing shot of the house is the great view and the fireplace. The fireplace comes with a great sign that says "NO FIRES ALLOWED" so even on a cold night where you can smell everyone elses fireplace you may not have one. So that picture is VERY DECEPTIVE! The house was great though. Property was in a perfect location, close enough to town but far enough away to be quiet and cozy. One of the bedrooms has no storage and is VERY SMALL. But great rental might be a little over priced.

Enjoyable stay in nature-filled area

We had a great time staying in Beechwood which is bright and comfortable. The house is fully equipped with more than plenty of towels, cooking utensils and supplies. Cooking, relaxing, and eating in common spaces was cozy and hassle-free. Our kids enjoyed the deck and the outdoor furniture, which allowed them to enjoy the beautiful marshlands and forest that surround the house and its wildlife, including hummingbirds and many types of warblers. I will definite recommend Beechwood to friends coming to Acadia

Great house and location, highly recommended

5 of 5
Our family stayed here in June 2009, and based on our experience, would recommend for anyone looking for a great vacation home. The property is new, very well maintained, clean, and as described. In fact, the photos do not quite do justice to our favorite features including an excellent kitchen and a screened-in porch with a quiet, serene view of the surrounding woods. The location is convenient to access both the park and nearby activities like Long Pond and Beech Mountain. The owners were terrific to work with and helped with many great tips and advice before and during our stay. They also provide loads of current local information, organized in a big file box with maps, brochures, menus, etc. The small library of books was handy as well - covering everything from bird watching to sea kayaking and hiking guides.
