Quaint cottage on Somes Sound!

5 of 5
This was our first trip to Maine and Heavenly Days was the perfect place to stay! The view of Somes Sound & the mountains was awesome especially with the fall colors. We saw deer outside every morning & evening & a porpoise swimming in the sound. Brilliant stars at night. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It has just about everything you would need. It is close to Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park but far enough away from the city lights to enjoy the peaceful, serene surroundings at night! Becky was very helpful and quickly answered any questions we had. We will definitely be back!!

Cute cottage, easy walk to downtown BH

5 of 5
Robin was a gracious and helpful host. Cute little cottage is located behind her house, nice fenced in yard for dog to play in. Cottage was very comfortable, immaculately clean, warm for brisk fall nights. Best part was that it was very easy walking distance to downtown Bar Harbor (about 15 min) yet on a quiet street. Last day, Robin did a quick walkthrough and handed us the security deposit back before we left. BH highlights: Gorham Mountain Trail was an amazing half-day hike and rock climbing on Otter Cliffs with Atlantic Climbing School.

We Loved This Cottage (and didn't want to leave!)

5 of 5
This cottage is isolated in a wooded neighborhood near Acadia National Park that is off the beaten path but a convenient drive to downtown Bar Harbor and all other points of interest on Mt. Desert Island. It is beautifully and lovingly furnished. The owner's paintings hang throughout making it that much more of a special place to stay. My children and I enjoyed many of our meals at the cottage, using the outdoor grill for all of our dinners. We lit a fire in the fireplace and made s'mores one night! We were grateful for the gift card toward breakfast that the owner left for us for Two Cats, a B&B in downtown Bar Harbor that we highly recommend! At night, the cottage was dark and sooo quiet, the perfect escape. It was perfect for the three of us. I would not recommend the cottage for families with small children as there are many home furnishings that are tempting for small hands! But it is as lovely as described in the owners description.
