LOVED OUR STAY HERE!

5 of 5
We just spent the week in this lovely brand new home. The house is absolutely lovely. Spacious layout with lots of room to stretch out and enjoy. My favorite thing in the house was the wooden "stuff" holder just inside the door for all your misc stuff. Every house should have one:-) Bedrooms and bathrooms are very big and comfy. The house has lots of windows to enjoy the views and get some of that great Maine air. What a pleasant surprise to sit on the back deck in the morning with a cup of coffee and watch the horses in the field by the house. The location we found to be perfect for us. Short ride to Hulls cove and Bar Harbor. Nice walk in the evening down to the pond in front of the house. Look for the bald eagle in the pine trees. We highly recommend this house for your visit to Acaida National Park.

COULD NOT BE NICER!

5 of 5
My husband and I and our twin 7-year-olds spent a week at the Cottage on Cottage in June 2014 that we will always treasure. The house is adorable, inside and out, with lovely details such as the begonias and flowering vine in the front yard and the gorgeous hand-painted kitchen table. There is a garage where you can stow your bikes. The location could not be better--just steps away from the center of Bar Harbor, with great pizza at Rosalie's, ice cream at Ben and Bill's Chocolate Emporium, a lovely bookstore (Sherman's), a video rental place for evening movie watching, Jordan's restaurant, renowned for its blueberry muffins (which we ate almost every morning), and in the other direction just a block away from the water, allowing evening strolls to see gorgeous sunsets, and easy access to the sand bar to Bar Island that is walkable only at low tide. Also just a block away is a huge supermarket (Hannaford's) that has everything you could want, making it easy to plan meals and cook at home. The kitchen was well equipped. The house has wifi and a new washer/dryer. Abigail was incredibly nice and responsive. We were snug and comfortable and felt fortunate to have found this lovely spot.

SUPER CLOSE TO EVERYTHING...

5 of 5
the information listed doesn't do this cottage justice. the cottage is literally a 15 minute walk to the center of town (with a six and twelve year olds mind you, it will probably be faster with just adults), which has a plethora of places to eat and shops to browse through. there isn't much open space around the cottage to run around in or to play wiffle ball games because it's surrounded by trees, but there is a school within a 5 minute walk that has basketball courts, a sizable playground, and a huge field. also, the cottage is conveniently located near two acadia park entrances... one that is about 2 miles down the road (the 233 entrance) and the other is the main entrance with visitor center which is about 10 minutes away (right off route 3). inside, the cottage was super comfortable (cable tv in every room, if you're into that sort of thing) and easily accommodated a cooking at home feel so we weren't eating out everyday. the decks were very relaxing and allowed for birdwatching without having to leave. all in all, we can't wait to come back!
