FANTASTIC WEEK

5 of 5
This was our first experience with VRBO and we couldn't have been more pleased. The house is lovely. Well-equipped , well- maintained and a great location. But by far the best part of our week was the owner, Bob. He greeted us with a fresh blueberry pie and offered helpful suggestions on restaurants, hikes, etc. He even helped us with parking on town, which can be difficult at times. So much to do in Acadia and Bar a Harbor... a week was not long enough. I highly recommend a trip here and be sure to stay in one of Bob's homes!

BAR HARBOR GEM!

5 of 5
My wife and two sons stayed at the Devon cottage for the week of the 4th of July. I can’t say enough good things about our stay and the cottage. First thing I will say is that the photographs don’t do the cottage justice. The living space seemed to be much bigger in reality then the photos. The four of us had plenty of space for the week of our stay. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen is very well appointed and we didn’t need anything that wasn’t already there. It sits about a 5-10 minute walk from center of Bar Harbor and just across the street from a playground, which my kids enjoyed. There is a drive in garage which was greatly convenient for loading the car on the last day as it was raining. The bedrooms were amazing, the linens and layout etc, it was very convenient for us. The owners were both really cool and down to earth. I had a couple of questions that I texted and received prompt replies to. I would very highly recommend Devon Cottage if you are looking to stay in Bar Harbor and especially if you are looking for a kid friendly lodging. An amazing trip and very enjoyable experience.

EXCELLENT LOCATION, MODERN AND CLEAN HOUSE.

5 of 5
This is a very nice house. The house is modern and very clean. The owner provided all necessary linen/pots/pans etc. (as described with the property). Scott lives there while not rented and he kept the house in very good condition. The best part is the location, it is located on Ledgelawn Ave. 5-6 min walk to village Green or 10 min to Agamont park. Majority of time we left cars at home and walked into town and took shuttle to Acadia. By car you can easily enter Acadia via Sieur De Monts OR via 233 to Cadillac Mountain entrance. There is one off-street parking spot so I was concerned about street parking for the 2nd car in our party. As it turned out there are plenty of empty spaces right near house. Due to proximity to the downtown most days I walked to Agmont park and did the Shore Path hike which is straight walk. The house has plenty of electrick outlets which was handy with 7 people and all the gadgets required charging. The house is listed for 12, though more suitable for 7-8 adults and 2-3 small kids. There are no good views as property is surrounded by other houses, though at the price and location we were fine with that, besides you just walk to great views in town :) Scott is responsive and accommodating. 2 months before our trip I had to move the vacation one week early and he did that for us. Scott also addressed questions we had during the stay. On the first day entire Bar Harbor lost electricity, it came back in 2 hrs. House had plenty of candles so we were covered. Overall very happy with this rental and I would rent again next time we visit Bar Harbor.
