SUPER CLOSE TO EVERYTHING...

5 of 5
the information listed doesn't do this cottage justice. the cottage is literally a 15 minute walk to the center of town (with a six and twelve year olds mind you, it will probably be faster with just adults), which has a plethora of places to eat and shops to browse through. there isn't much open space around the cottage to run around in or to play wiffle ball games because it's surrounded by trees, but there is a school within a 5 minute walk that has basketball courts, a sizable playground, and a huge field. also, the cottage is conveniently located near two acadia park entrances... one that is about 2 miles down the road (the 233 entrance) and the other is the main entrance with visitor center which is about 10 minutes away (right off route 3). inside, the cottage was super comfortable (cable tv in every room, if you're into that sort of thing) and easily accommodated a cooking at home feel so we weren't eating out everyday. the decks were very relaxing and allowed for birdwatching without having to leave. all in all, we can't wait to come back!

THOROUGHLY RECCOMENDED

5 of 5
This is the second time we've stayed at the cottage. It's very well equipped, clean, there's plenty of towels, crockery, cutlery and so on and the owners are both delightful and very helpful. It's a short walk to downtown and in the other direction a short walk to part of the State Park. All in all an excellent place for spending time in Bar Harbor.

PERFECT SPOT FOR VACATION

5 of 5
We stayed at Cove Cottage for our family vacation. In conjunction with touring New England, we spent a week in Bar Harbor. The home was perfect! Clean, stocked, and conveniently located, we spent days in Acadia and in town. The cottage is located near the upper entrance to Acadia and super convenient to town. There is a grocery store down town and many restaurants to supplement. We hiked, swam, rented bikes, fished, whale watched, played mini golf, visited tide pools, and shopped. The cottage was a great place to unwind after a busy day. Comfortable beds, cable TV, plenty of towels, wifi, located across from a beach - all wonderful! Owner was very accommodating and provided quick answers. Deposit refunded quickly. We had a marvelous time - thank you!!!
