Wonderful House!

5 of 5
We just returned from a wonderful week in Maine, and we loved everything about this house. The location was ideal, the views were spectacular, and having access to the water was a real treat. The house was exactly as pictured and described. We found it to be very comfortable, cozy and inviting. The house was nicely decorated and furnished, and very well equipped with everything you would want or need. In particular, we appreciated the well equipped kitchen, as we enjoy cooking and preparing meals when we vacation in this type of a setting. We found a nice assortment of cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes and glassware and the like. The screened in porch was the place to be during our week, we ate almost every meal out there, except for one rainy evening where we decided inside would be better. We found leaves for the dining room table, a lovely tablecloth and placemats and we enjoyed our dinner inside as much as outside. Highlights of our week included kayaking in Seal Cove, hiking in Acadia, exploring the park and spending some time in the towns of Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. Breakfast at Grumpy's is a must, and a lobster feast at Thurston's lobster pound was memorable. A good rainy day activity is the Seal Cove Auto Museum, just up the road a bit from the house. We spent a very enjoyable rainy morning there. For as much as there is to do in the area, the house provided a very inviting place to just sit back and relax, read a book, or catch up with the family.

GREAT SPOT FOR EXTENDED FAMILY VACATION!

5 of 5
My husband, 3 adult children and their families with children 1 yr. old to 11 spent one week here and loved every minute. We went on a spectacular whale watch, went fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, and hiking. Everyone agreed it could not have been better. Plus being able to come back to a comfortable home with a large yard for children to play in while adults watched with cocktails on the deck followed by dinner at a table big enough for all to exchange the daily happenings. It was wonderful. Thank you for the use of your home. The only suggestion I would make is maybe a few more towels (kitchen and bath) and garbage bags.

Wonderful, cozy, cute little cabin!

5 of 5
this was our first trip to Maine and the Mt. Desert Island area. Once we realize there was a 'quietside' to the island, we knew that is where we wanted to be. This cabin was absolutely perfect for my husband and myself. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, private and cozy. The fully stocked kitchen and groceries from the IGA in Southwest Harbor allowed us to 'cook in' part of the time and yet we were close enough to many great restaurants that it was easy to dine out too. We loved the deck with brand new grill and had breakfast there most every day. Mary Grace was always very quick to respond to any questions we had by email before our trip and even flagged us down to say hello when we happened to cross paths. Everything was ready for us just as she had described it. If you are looking for a quiet, cozy place to stay that is a great home base to explore Acadia Natl. Park, Bar Harbor or other surrounding towns, this is the place for you.
