                              A real gem

Our time at your house beginning the week of August 2 was a wonderful experience. We celebrated our 50th anniversary by having our three girls, their husbands, and nine grandchildren ages 24 to 12. It couldn't have been a better place to celebrate. The boys had a great time playing basketball in the out building, especially on the one rainy afternoon that we had. One evening one of the boys played his guitar in the library with a fire and we sang songs and danced. Each morning we had coffee looking at Frenchmans bay. Most days were spent exploring the park. All 17 of us used Atlantic Climbing School and went rock climbing at Otter Cliffs. Your house was a perfect location for our family, and it is truly a treasure.

Can I Keep This Property a Secret??!! ;-)

                              5 of 5
A gorgeous place, immaculate and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout... And, the grounds are lovely as well. I booked a week at this chalet for a Maine vacation with my Mom, who had not been back to this area in more than 20 years. This was a fabulous find! Very quiet and private, and a great place for both of us to decompress after a year of family chaos. Yet, close enough to all the area attractions that we were never bored. We covered a lot of ground during our week's stay -- including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, the Roosevelt Campobello International Park in New Brunswick (bring your passport!!), Asticou Terraces and Thula Gardens, the Penobscot Marine Museum, and many other random stops for (a) breathtakingly beautiful scenery, or (b) fun local gift shops! We also ate lots of yummy seafood, including lobster, clams, and mussels. Heaven! And the views from the deck every morning and evening were spectacular. Only sorry that I did not book this for 2 (!!) weeks.

                              Best House in Town

                              5 of 5
Lots of room and everything was perfect for a large group. There are two kitchens and two washers and two dryers. Need to say more? Everything was perfect and we walked everywhere. My only negative comment has to do with one of the stores on the street. The Maine Lobster starting yelling at someone in our party because a Christmas ornament fell and broke accidentally. The blonde clerk was loud and vulgar and after that our party of eight adults walked past that store. BIG MISTAKE since we were all spending lots of money. You might want to bring post-it notes to stick on the bedrooms. It took a few days for us to find our way about the huge house! Rent this house and you won't regret it. It's a gem and so is the owner!! : ) As a matter of fact, two couples on the sidewalk asked me how to rent the house!!
