A real gem

5 of 5
Our time at your house beginning the week of August 2 was a wonderful experience. We celebrated our 50th anniversary by having our three girls, their husbands, and nine grandchildren ages 24 to 12. It couldn't have been a better place to celebrate. The boys had a great time playing basketball in the out building, especially on the one rainy afternoon that we had. One evening one of the boys played his guitar in the library with a fire and we sang songs and danced. Each morning we had coffee looking at Frenchmans bay. Most days were spent exploring the park. All 17 of us used Atlantic Climbing School and went rock climbing at Otter Cliffs. Your house was a perfect location for our family, and it is truly a treasure.

Can I Keep This Property a Secret??!! ;-)

5 of 5
A gorgeous place, immaculate and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout... And, the grounds are lovely as well. I booked a week at this chalet for a Maine vacation with my Mom, who had not been back to this area in more than 20 years. This was a fabulous find! Very quiet and private, and a great place for both of us to decompress after a year of family chaos. Yet, close enough to all the area attractions that we were never bored. We covered a lot of ground during our week's stay -- including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, the Roosevelt Campobello International Park in New Brunswick (bring your passport!!), Asticou Terraces and Thula Gardens, the Penobscot Marine Museum, and many other random stops for (a) breathtakingly beautiful scenery, or (b) fun local gift shops! We also ate lots of yummy seafood, including lobster, clams, and mussels. Heaven! And the views from the deck every morning and evening were spectacular. Only sorry that I did not book this for 2 (!!) weeks.

Perfect Bar Harbor Location

5 of 5
My family and I (6 adults) rented this wonderful home for a week. It had all the amenities we could have needed! Close to everything: shopping, dining, the water front, activities in and out of Acadia. The convenient in-town location allowed us to easily walk anywhere and enjoy our Bar Harbor stay without having to deal with peak season traffic & parking. We could venture out in the morning for a kayaking trip, walk home for lunch, then stroll around Bar Harbor in the evening for shopping and dining. Or drive 5 minutes and be in Acadia National Park... Watching for shooting stars atop Cadillac Mountain. The street was quiet, with little traffic which lends to spending time on the deck enjoying the umbrella table. The 2nd floor laundry & included linens/paper products allowed us to pack light. And the multi-floor home was the perfect amount of space for us all to spread out and get comfortable! A fantastic vacation home away from home!
