This is a most spectacular property.

We have been staying at Skywater each year for many years. The views are amazing and I consider it to be my special slice of Heaven! The Musetti family is warm, welcoming, loving and helpful. The cottage is comfortable with excellent furnishings, a beautiful granite fireplace and heat for those chilly nights in the fall. It is located on the "quiet side" of the island and it is tranquil and peaceful. You can watch the deer wander about feeding in the early morning and watch the sailboat races from the deck. Beautiful ships come in and out of the sound daily and are amazing to watch. But the best sights are the sunrise and the sunsets....the stars at night are most amazing and bright....lying in bed you can raise your eyes and see millions of stars from the window over your head...this is a place that recharges your body and soul.....

Excited to return each year...

5 of 5
We have stayed at Cozy Cabin 2 times now and are now planning to come back again for the third. We have three young children and the cabin is wonderful for enjoying the area. Though small, it is well stocked and pretty. The location makes it easy to get to the Park, or into Bar Harbor, and its proximity to Echo Lake is great on a hot day with antsy kids. All three kids can sleep comfortably in one bedroom (two in a full bed and one in a single) and they love it's campy atmosphere, with plank ceilings and white paper lanterns for lights. The other bedroom is large with beautiful windows, giving it the atmosphere of sleeping outside. The cabin has great outdoor areas for sitting, eating, playing and last year there was even a bunny to go visit. The bathroom is pretty utilitarian, which is fine for us, but if you want a fancy tub, look elsewhere. The owners, when on site, are warm and friendly, and very accommodating. Overall, it's a lovely spot, equally great as a home-base for day-trips, or to just hang-out in a wooded spot on the deck with the grill fired up. We hope to keep coming back as much as we can! Highly recommended.

Cabin in the Woods

5 of 5
Did a family trip to Maine and really enjoyed our stay over the summer months. Cabin was in the woods located next to another cabin but was private. It was nice and also within walking distance of a pond that I was able to canoe around on with my kids. It is located on the quite side of Mount Desert Island, its an easy drive everywhere on the island including Bar Harbor and Acadia National Forest in no more then 15 minutes. We had no problems whatsoever and would stay here again if we return to Maine someday.
