Can I Keep This Property a Secret??!! ;-)

              5 of 5
A gorgeous place, immaculate and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout... And, the grounds are lovely as well. I booked a week at this chalet for a Maine vacation with my Mom, who had not been back to this area in more than 20 years. This was a fabulous find! Very quiet and private, and a great place for both of us to decompress after a year of family chaos. Yet, close enough to all the area attractions that we were never bored. We covered a lot of ground during our week's stay -- including Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Schoodic Peninsula, the Roosevelt Campobello International Park in New Brunswick (bring your passport!!), Asticou Terraces and Thula Gardens, the Penobscot Marine Museum, and many other random stops for (a) breathtakingly beautiful scenery, or (b) fun local gift shops! We also ate lots of yummy seafood, including lobster, clams, and mussels. Heaven! And the views from the deck every morning and evening were spectacular. Only sorry that I did not book this for 2 (!!) weeks.

              Awesome House

              5 of 5
We had previously stayed in Otter Creek and were so happy to find a house in a great location and with all the amenities we wanted during our vacation. The house is the perfect size for two people; we had lots of room and found the living area very comfortable. The house has lots of windows and gets lots of great light. The kitchen is fantastic; it has a great layout and was so much fun to cook in. The master bedroom is quite comfortable as well and we appreciated the black out shades which eliminated any of the street light. Bathroom is a good size and has a nice large window. Back deck is nice for breakfast or just hanging out for pre-dinner drinks. And the hammock in the backyard is fun too. We were nervous about being so close to the street. While the house is close, there are lots of trees in front that still make it feel private. And it was nice being a 2 minute walk from The Burning Tree, our favorite restaurant in Maine, so good we went twice this trip. And being in Otter Creek makes it easy to get to any Acadia main attractions or trailheads. We would definitely stay at this house again. Thanks Geoff and Pennington family!

              Acadia National Park Adventure

              5 of 5
We were two couples looking for a comfortable lodge to live in while we explore this beautiful national park by day. We found the Brum Chalet to be all that the listing said it would be. The location was comvenient to the park as well as Bar Harbour. It was very private and quiet. The view from the deck was spectacular. The great room fireplace was delightful to relax by in the evening. The kitchen was spacious and comfortable to work in, but the knives need sharpening! The laundry facilities enabled us to pack less clothing for the week. There were plenty of towels and clean bedding provided. The Brum Chalet was an excellent choice for us and we would recommend it to our friends.
