Clean, close to everything, good for family

5 of 5
Suite was spotless on arrival. Everything was as described or better. Bedroom good for two adults and baby. Sofa bed worked for older child. Everything we needed was there just like at home. Close to walk to town, grocery store, etc. Even had live lobsters delivered. Vacation couldn't have been better. Definitely recommend and will stay here again when in Bar Harbor.

Wonderful Base for Acadia Exploring!

5 of 5
We wanted to explore Acadia for our honeymoon and Vicki's cabin provided the ideal base from which to do so. Equidistant from both Acadia National Park and Schoodic Peninsula, we were able to spend our days out hiking and playing and then retreat to the cabin (which just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of busy Bar Harbor) for rest and relaxation. The guest space in Vicki's thoughtfully designed and beautifully constructed Adirondack-style cabin is ideal for a couple of people looking for a unique place to call home for while traveling. Vicki was a friendly and generous host and was able to provide us many great recommendations for places to eat and things to see and do beyond what we had planned. Overall a terrific experience and would happily stay here again if/when we come back to the area!

Our best stay in Maine yet!

5 of 5
This was everything we thought it was and more. Many places say they are newly renovated and up to date. Well Doug did a great job and it was fantastic. One thing that I liked best was the separation of the two bedrooms. They aren't right next to each other so when we put the kids in a bedroom, they had to pass by the living room to argue. Awesome space Four blocks from the village green and all the shops and restaurants in "downtown" Bar Harbor. This is on my favorites and when we find our next summer vacation, we are racing to book a room with Doug again. We are so excited about the space that we are hoping he gets the front space complete so we can rent both spaces and have friends join us in BH. Thanks for the great visit Doug!
