GREAT LOCATION

5 of 5
We had a very nice stay in Margaret's "Cozy In-town Apartment." Actually, the place was spacious! ("Cozy" refers to the bedrooms size.) Large, comfortable kitchen, dining room, and living room. The place was very clean with a well-stocked kitchen (we boiled fresh lobster easily). Best of all was proximity to Acadia National Park, a short distance away, as well as "downtown" Bar Harbor.Parking was conveniently right in front of the apartment. The beds were very comfortable for sleeping, there was not much noise at all from the street. Margaret left information about things to do in the park for us to use, and was available by phone or text for questions. One caveat - it is a second floor apartment.

Perfect in every way

5 of 5
Charming home and perfect location--we had everything we could possibly need, and more. The house was so cozy and clean and we all loved being there or being in town. I was so happy to find how close it is to town and walking there took less than 5 minutes. April, the owner, was so warm and helpful--she knows everyone in Bar Harbor and made us feel so special during our visit. We can't wait to come next summer!!

Wonderful Vacation Spot!

5 of 5
This property is well located just a short walk from the main street in Southwest Harbor - shopping, restaurants, bars, bike rentals, kayak rentals, etc. It's about a 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor, but less than that for several of the areas within Acadia National Park. It was perfect to get away from the tourist crowds, but definitely not in the middle of nowhere. The property itself was fantastic! Everything had been recently renovated so the inside was very clean and functional. It had all the comforts of home - washer/dryer, fully equipped kitchen, 3 televisions, etc. The owner lives right next door so if you have questions or concerns, help is not far away. I was very happy with the counter space in the bathroom and the deck off the back. The deck had a view of the harbor so you could watch the tides (high and low) and take in the sun. The Cranberry Island ferry dock is just a few steps away, so island exploring is definitely a possibility! Overall, this property is a true hidden gem and we will definitely return should our travels take us back to Maine.
