Incredible getaway - beautiful ocean view/deck

5 of 5
I only have good things to say about this property. BEAUTIFUL location and quaint, cozy interior. Comfy beds and incredible, large deck to eat and relax on. Can see the ocean from the deck. Spent lots of time on the beach looking for sea glass and went hiking in Acadia (less than 15 min to many trails including Acadia Mountain <moderate to strenuous at times> which I recommend - phenomenal view). The cottage is around the corner from downtown Southwest Harbor which is fun for an afternoon of coffee and shopping. 20 min from Bar Harbor. Perfect getaway - I can't wait to go back next summer with friends!

A perfect stay for mother/ daughter bicycle adventure

4 of 5
My mother and I found this farmhouse cottage to be very quiet, relaxing and clean for our short vacation. We had a lovely stay in this perfectly spacious cottage for two adults -two porches, large bathroom with washer and dryer, and open kitchen/dining/living room. A highlight for me was the strong water pressure in the shower after our days of hiking and biking. The island shuttle stop is a short walk/ride near the Southwest Harbor post office. The free shuttle schedule can get a bit confusing. To catch the bus going into Bar Harbor-stand across the street from the marked bus stop area.

Simply the best

My wife and I were lucky enough to stay at Sunset Point for part of our honeymoon. We stayed a week and enjoyed every second. The views and the relaxing ambience were just what we expected. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. We decided to sleep in the living room and not one of the two bedrooms. We wanted to take full advantage of the fireplace and views of the mountain (very romantic setting). The drive to downtown was quick and the beautiful scenes of nearby hikes, bike rides and canoe trips were just a few minutes away. We took advantage of the fresh lobster delivery offered and had our very first taste of fresh Maine lobster in the comforts of the cottage(reasonably priced). Terri and Joe were great with everything. We truly had a great time. One thing to watch out for when driving to the cottage for the first time is to remember to drive all the way to the top of the mt. The first cottage on the left is not sunset pt. (woops) We can't wait to go back and enjoy more of sunset point cottage! Make sure to take advantage of the books in the cottage showing all the activities available. We really enjoyed the nearby hikes. Thanks again Terri and Joe!
