Perfect!

5 of 5
My husband and I arrived with our 2 dogs (60 pounds each) to the perfect house in the perfect location! The home and yard was spotlessly clean and the owners thought of EVERYTHING to make it easy to move right in for the week. The beach location, right outside of Acadia National Park could not have been any better for us and the dogs. We went to the beach every morning, hiking in Acadia every afternoon and had a wonderful Maine dinner every night. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we are planning to stay with them again in the (hopefully) near future!

Wonderful Home

We enjoyed our stay. It had everything we needed and more. We loved how close it was to everything but still a few blocks away from all the noise. We walked everywhere. We recommended this place upon returning to all our family and friends. Great value too!

Memorable Maine

We chose The Centennial Homestead and Family Lighthouse for a muilt-generation family vacation. It proved to be the perfect setting. Located approximately 20 minutes from Bar Harbor and on the Island Explorer bus route it has easy access to Acadia Park. Being at the end of a quiet road yet within walking distance to the town dock and a lobster pound it provided family members from age 66 to 6 with activities. The house has ample room for all eight members. The multiple levels and sitting areas allowed everyone to find there own space to read, watch TV or enjoy a pleasant conversation. The lighthouse was a thrill for all family members and provided a view often not available as well as many picturesque photo opportunities. Lynn the property manager could not be more helpful. She answered our questions promptly and checked in to make sure all our needs were met. The house was in perfect order upon our arrival. Learning about The Homestead and life of the Silverman family only added to the experience. Our family developed a better appreciation for this special part of the world. It is not often than you are provided with a wonderful experience while helping others. Through the generosity of Mr. Silverman a vacation at The Homestead benefits many through his philanthropic efforts.
