Recent Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island Reviews

I loved it! Beautiful, romantic, excellent value!

5 of 5
We came from the west coast to visit Acadia National Park last month on the recommendation of friends who came last year and stayed in this really nicely furnished, and very clean house. Like other reviewers have commented, it was a perfect location, just outside of downtown Bar Harbor and a quick jog into the park. The air conditioning allowed us to sleep as late as we wanted several mornings after late nights in town without being awoken by the numerous birds and seagulls that inhabit the island and wake up before dawn. It was great fun rock climbing in the park, taking the Margaret Todd schooner around the island, and figuring where we wanted to eat each night. I thought Two Cats had the best blueberry pancakes I ever ate for breakfast and Cafe This Way, the best fresh fish.A couple of nights we cooked in and enjoyed eating out on the deck. Would definitely recommend this house to other friends, and stay here again if we come back to Maine!

Perfect rental!

5 of 5
Was the listing description accurate regarding the location? Yes Did the listing photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities? Yes! The kitchen is well-equipped. The only minor downside is the internet is a tad slow. Was the property clean and well-maintained? Yes, it was spotless Was the owner helpful in answering your questions or concerns? Yes, the owner was very helpful and patient when working with my changes (I had to change the number of people several times) Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? Yes What nearby activities, attractions and restaurants would you recommend? Mainely Meat is just 5 minutes drive away. It is THE best meal we had in Bar Harbor!

Great place to stay near Acadia

5 of 5
We stayed in this townhouse on our first trip to Maine and Acadia. We were thrilled at house close the house was to both the entrance to Acadia and to Bar Harbor. It was super easy to get to both and we didn't have to worry about parking as we had our own designated space. The house itself was clean and had everything we needed including a washer and dryer. Additionally, household items such as detergent, paper towels, trash bags, t.p., etc was provided. A perfect place for families! Thanks!
