A Great Find

5 of 5
We cant say enough about "SOLS CLIFF HOUSE". This was our second trip back to this wonderful house. If you have a big family and want to go away all together this is the place. The views are breathtaking!!! There is so much room in this house. Its also very quiet there in the morning the sun rise right in the backyard and you can hear the lobster boats going out to fish. Its everything Maine!! The location is perfect close to Acadia and Bar Harbor. There's so much to do or you can just do nothing. Our best memories are seating around the very large dinning room table and having dinner and sitting in the living room playing whisper down the lane by the fire with the grandkids.

Fabulous Views

5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at the house during early fall. The views from the deck are simply wonderful. The view is something straight out of "The Travel Channel"! You have grand views of Frenchman's Bay and Porcupine Island. Cruise ships pass right by the house. It would be nice to have the area below the deck, all the way to the drop off, tidied up some. There are many fallen trees and much debris. One cannot walk out to the edge, although as high up as the house is, one may not want to do that! (I am sure it is for safety reasons that the piles of fallen trees are there. Also, the property has nesting eagles and this may disturb them.) The house is well maintained and well stocked. It's lovely to rent a home that offers some salt and pepper, coffee filters, and sugar. There are plenty of pots and pans, along with plenty of flatware and plates, glasses, etc. The king bed upstairs was fairly comfortable, although the light from the driveway is very bright and shines in the window. We had to hang a blanket over the window. We are very light sleepers. This is the only bedroom we used. There is no view of the water from the upstairs bed. The upstairs bathroom is very small and a little dated. Also, given the positioning of the bed, one cannot open the bathroom door fully as it hits the foot of the bed. The toilet is right there at the foot of the bed. Know your partner well if you use that bedroom. :) We preferred using the downstairs shower as there is more room . The house has no cable or satellite television. The antennae on the roof worked off and on, but we didn't mind. The internet worked very well. The house is close to town, just a 5 minute drive. Lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. The entrance to Acadia National Park is right there too. You are close to everything! The house is comfortable, extremely clean, and tidy. If you are looking for a property that is very modern and fussy, this is not the place. If you want stunning views, to see wildlife, to be able to hike right from your door, and to have accessibility to all the area has to offer, call Nancy. She was wonderful and will help make your stay beyond perfect.

Amazing! Never had better in Bar Harbor!

5 of 5
I would recommend this condo without hesitation to couples or families. It is a corner unit within walking distance to town. In fact, you are a 2 minute walk from the middle of town! However, it is far enough that it is very quiet and peaceful! The condo is gorgeous and the décor is impeccable. The accessibility to town is as I said fantastic, but it also has a 2 minute walk to the free public transportation to all parts of the island. The water is a 10 minute walk at most. The three bedrooms provided are more than enough room for 6 people comfortably. There are pamphlets on things to do in the town and even rainy day activity ideas. This was my husband and my favorite trip ever to Bar Harbor! This renter also has a property in Ocean City, MD that we stay at as well that is immaculate! What wonderful properties they have to offer and we look forward to booking again next year!
