Peace and quiet and birds

5 of 5
Beautiful quiet property. Lots of wood, big picture window. Very close to Acadia. Most memorable part of the trip was having breakfast on the deck, little bird accidentally banged into the picture window and landed in my cereal bowl. Dazed for about 15 minutes, just sitting on my spoon. Great glassed in side room. Well stocked kitchen, had all the utensils we needed.

Cabin in the Woods

5 of 5
Did a family trip to Maine and really enjoyed our stay over the summer months. Cabin was in the woods located next to another cabin but was private. It was nice and also within walking distance of a pond that I was able to canoe around on with my kids. It is located on the quite side of Mount Desert Island, its an easy drive everywhere on the island including Bar Harbor and Acadia National Forest in no more then 15 minutes. We had no problems whatsoever and would stay here again if we return to Maine someday.

Wonderful Base for Acadia Exploring!

5 of 5
We wanted to explore Acadia for our honeymoon and Vicki's cabin provided the ideal base from which to do so. Equidistant from both Acadia National Park and Schoodic Peninsula, we were able to spend our days out hiking and playing and then retreat to the cabin (which just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of busy Bar Harbor) for rest and relaxation. The guest space in Vicki's thoughtfully designed and beautifully constructed Adirondack-style cabin is ideal for a couple of people looking for a unique place to call home for while traveling. Vicki was a friendly and generous host and was able to provide us many great recommendations for places to eat and things to see and do beyond what we had planned. Overall a terrific experience and would happily stay here again if/when we come back to the area!
