Situated on inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, we found this cottage to be very idyllic. The location is rural and non touristy. It is quiet and tranquil, augmented by the call of seagulls and a glimpse of an eagle flying in the distance. The view of the tide coming in and out daily was very relaxing. Our daily walks afforded views of islands off the rugged Maine coast, with an occasional deer or two peering through the woods.
The cottage is rustic, but with all of the conveniences of home. It is well maintained and very clean, with the kitchen supplied with every utensil that you need for one’s culinary delights. The cottage comes with the convenience of a washer and dryer, which came in very handy for our three-week stay. The owners of the cottage are very congenial and willing to help with any concerns that you may have.
Internet access can be had about twelve miles away in Jonesport, either in the town library or just behind it when it is closed. Cell phone coverage seemed to be best about a mile away on the little causeway where one can get beautiful views of sunsets in the evening. The Navigator Restaurant, about twelve miles north, has an excellent menu.
In all, the cottage is a very cozy place. We had a wonderful time staying there. We would definitely recommend staying there to anyone.
