AWESOME!! PEACEFUL AND RELAXING

5 of 5
Very quiet and relaxing spot to be able to venture to just about anywhere you wanted to go on any one of the spots in Arcadia..We enjoyed exploring the harbors and the loop road is a great way to travel , lots of parking to be able to see all the attractions and beautiful scenery. Enjoyed our day trip to Schoonic Point,a must see part of Arcadia. We arrived just about high tide and the waves were amazing...Thank you Philip & Astri for sharing your beautiful space with us, I surely will recommend it . Best regards to you both.. Sandy W.

A HEAVENLY SPOT!

4 of 5
This was the perfect spot for our two week stay. Everything was just as it was described and Emily and Bob were very attentive to any needs that we had. It is obvious why there are so many repeat guests. The cottage is comfortable with well stocked kitchen. The sun room/dining room combination is fantastic. The light, view of ocean, Cadillac, and the moon dancing on the water at night was perfect. We loved the quiet secluded location with phenomenal view but easy access to Acadia. We biked, hiked, and kayaked, as well as had time for our own art work at the cottage and walks on the beach. Hope to return.

PERFECT PEACEFUL RETREAT

5 of 5
We fell in love with Goose Cottage the minute we turned onto the private drive. The wooded lot is stunning and filled with beautiful ferns and spruce trees. The smell is incredible. You feel like you are strolling through a Christmas tree lot! The cottage itself is immaculate and cozy. It truly feels like a home away from home. The view from the deck is gorgeous. You can see harbor seals sunning themselves and porpoises swimming as well as lobster boats heading out for their daily catch. Watching the tide change and exploring the private beach for sea stars and shells was a great way to start each day. The sunsets are amazing as is the star gazing at night. The setting is so serene and peaceful. The owners are wonderful people and seemed as excited about our stay as we were. It is obvious that they take great pride in the ownership of this beautiful home. Some personal highlights of our trip included hiking Acadia. We found the hiking on the East side of MDI to be spectacular. We also enjoyed a kayak tour with Maine State Sea Kayak. The food in nearby Southwest Harbor is delicious. Some of our favorite restaurants included SIPS and CAFE2 along with QUIETSIDE CAFE. If you are looking for true natural beauty in a quiet comfortable setting in close proximity to great restaurants and all of the adventures Acadia has to offer, then this is your place to call home.
